ASB 2005 and the XBOX 360

Revisited this game on the XBOX360. Man, still looks great.

I went into features and edited Todds Hollingsworth on the Cubs and made him Daryl Ward, saved the roster to my hard drive. Exited the game reloaded the roster and it works. Ward is there on the Cubs.

Now you all know how screwed up it was with not being able to trade players between teams PRIOR to starting a franchise/season, so I thought I would start a roster project.

However, I cannot figure out how to transfer the saved roster from the hard drive to the memory card. When I go to MEMORY in the dashboard, and GAMES, I see the ROSTER saved, but my only option is to DELETE it, not transfer it to the memory card.

I'm assuming the memory card is not compatible to save a file from the game?

Anyone can shed some light on this?

Hmm thats good news, so we ARE able to update rosters without starting a franchise?

Maybe one of the ESPN NFL guys can come in here and shed some light on the whole Xbox file converter to the 360. I believe they found something once it was known that 2k5 became B/C.

Jim, if your going to share this with us your going to need a $40-$50 adapter called the Datel Xport.

Yes, but it's monumental. You have to take each team from scratch. For example, you can't move Moises Alou from the Cubs to the Mets. You have to create Alou from scratch from another player on the Mets. Moises Alou on the Cubs would have to be recreated to someone like Felix Pie. It's a lot of work, but I'd be willing to work on it.

I just can't seem to be able to transfer the file to a memory card. It's like it's not compatible.
          Looking for advice.

This was a good game. I'll have to pull it off the 'ole shelf and give it another run!

Can anyone transfer a saved file of any XBOX game played on the 360 to a 360 memory card? If so, how are you doing it?

Unfortunately Xbox saves can't be transferred from the HDD to the MU.

I loved ASB and picked it up on eBay last night. My second favorite game next to MVP 05.

Thanks for confirming that for me. Didn't appear I could do it. I was going to do a complete roster edit. This game still looks great (on the XBOX360).

You can play this game on the 360, sweet. This game had the best ball parks. I mean they had out of town working scoreboard. Are you kidding me, I was in heaven! lol

Still play this game regularly on the xbox (manage only mode). One of my all time most played games. If you actually did a full roster update, I think I'd **** my pants in delight. If you can get the saves online somehow, I would be happy to help out with editing some of the teams. We could probably find some others to help as well. ASB 05 with 2008 rosters? I'm getting wood...

The problem is I can't figure out how to save the roster on the 360 memory card to transfer it to the computer. I can save it on the hard drive, but it won't recognize it for the memory card. Sorta sucks.

You don't have that problem with other Xbox games? Just ASB? Anybody else have a 360 and ASB that can try it out? Anybody have any suggestions?

You still play the game Jim? You are also a manage only guy right? I think I remember reading some of your posts about the game a few years ago?

No, MKnight is the manage only guy. I did make a roster for the game when it was on the XBOX, which I sold. I can play it on the XBOX360 and was willing to take the roster and re-edit almost every player (as you can't make trades pre-season) to make up all the teams.

I took the roster, went to roster edit and changed some players and saved it, but I just can't see the file when I go into the harddrive when I want to save it to the memory card.
This game STILL looks great on the XBOX360. I have the PS2 game and it pales in comparison, looks wise.

I haven't heard of a way to transfer the saved roster file to the xchange thingy/save card.
