I'm putting the hot/cold thing to use along with the knowledge of fast pitches in, slow pitches out, breaking pitches low in the zone or off if the hitter favors low pitches. I've gottn 18 K's with a pitcher doing this, 6 with another, 5 with my jack of the rotation, it works, I haven't been touched up since I put this in effect.

bumped for POOP who just got the game on the PS2 and anyone else who just got it.....it'll make your search for tips a little easier.

Actually I have it for GC, had it since it came out. The only problem is the stats you access from the L analog stick aren't available on GC as far as I know. With the z button I get the hot/cold, hot zones, and pitch history, but I can't find a way to get the batters splits when I'm hitting. I know you can for the ps2 and the xbox, looks like GC just got left out.

I think the GC does get things left out. For instance, I have last year's ASB (2003) for the GC and I never could get it to save some of the stats. When you clicked on a player it was supposed to have the last 10 games' stats but mine would only keep track of the last game. All other stats would be 0's despite me saving my season. As soon as I'd turn my GC off my last game stats would disappear. So things like the Who's Hot/Who's Not list were worthless because it was all based on the last 10 games that the Cube wouldn't save.Comment
