    Re: Some ASB Gameplay issues

    My Gripes:

I suck at this game. I have easy hitting on rookie, and am hitting .200 through 4 spring training games, with one homer. Walter Johnson gave up 14 runs in the last pickup game I played. Those are more my problems than Acclaim's.

Their problems are 1) the cornfield. You cannot see anything coming out of the pitchers hand. And 2) only 25 man rosters in spring training? Come on, I want to be able to use 40 guys.

Also, would it be too much to ask for spring training uniforms and stadiums? Instead of having dual versions of future stadiums and passing them off as expansion stadiums, plus having 2 versions of Riverfront, add Joker Merchant and Vero Beach. And maybe put deserving older stadiums like Cleveland Municipal or Baltimore Memorial.

The way the computer is hitting off me, I think there needs to be more singles for the computer. They get way to many doubles against me. And I just noticed that both of my starters (I've only played two games) given up at least three dingers.

As far as the fielding goes, I let the computer control all other people except the pitcher and my guy. I might go back to control them myself later once I get used to the new camera movement.

I have also noticed that the fly ball to ground ball ratio is very lopsided in favor of fly balls but only when I am hitting. While pitching I keep the ball down and get my fare share of ground balls. I play on all-star level with the classic cursor. I would say the the ratio is about 80-20 fly ball to ground ball. Which does upset me. Overall though I like this game a lot just like 2002 and 2003. I do have some issues with this year version though.
          1) The catcher does not throw the ball back to the pitcher, why did they take this feature out?
          2) I'm in spring training now with my team the Houston Astros and would like to wear the alternate spring traing jersey instead of the regular ones.
          3) As mentioned above the fly ball to ground ball ratio.
          4) Also it is pretty hard to hit and mid 90s fastball that's not right down the pipe with the cursor.
          5) And finally not everyone wants a franchise where is good ol' season mode?
Oh and its pretty much impossible to make a diving stop on the left side of the infield and throw a guy out.

But anyway asb is a good game and probably the best game out there with all its extra features.
