I don't know all the ins and outs of the agreement, but I don't think Sony would be forced out of the baseball market because it applies to second party game developers. I guess what could happen is 2k loses and EA or someone else gets back into it.

It was better with more competition. I still have PS2 , I know I am feeling like a dinosaur right now, but 2k didn't even use the 2008 schedule for the game. I knew the graphics would not be as good, but still.

this is the first year I got the Show and am enjoying it a lot.

I guess EA started it with Madden and pushing out NFL 2k. I still think it is bad for gamers.

I am sad to say this but I feel that this IS OR WAS EA's plot and plan all along.

First off before any deal was made there were all kinds of games to buy. All we the user's had to do was choose one we liked. And for the most part, we liked what we purchased. Reguardless if it was a baseball, basketball, football, or hockey. I chose my favorites and enjoyed them very much so. Every game each year added something different so we always had something new to look forward to.

And it stayed that way for quite some time, until EA bought football. And to counter EA's piece of the sports business they bought baseball, but left hockey and basketball open. EA next bought some side companies that took some other competition out of the way. And now their mark is Take-Two.

And I have been thinking about this for a long time and I will tell you what it is. The 2K baseball game was working fine before Mr. EA came to work for it. Yes it was not stellar but why would you let someone from EA come to work at 2K baseball central? Here is my reasoning. He is going to slowly ruin the game sales over the next couple of years. Buy putting out poorly made baseball games. After 6 to 7 years of his garbage the rights will be over and then EA will bid again. By that time there will be no fan base left. And in secret he will be working on a new gaming engine to go with a new EA baseball game. And there you go EA is back on the map and since nobody will like 2K baseball any longer, they have to go bankrupt, and in steps EA. That is just my prediction.

I thought this was one thread in one forum I could go without a tinfoil hat.

Lesson learned, though: Always be prepared.
