Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
Everything is saved under one main file, except the franchise and career modes. So you just have to transfer the main mlb power pros 2008 save file to his memory card. By doing that, it will carry over all your success players and stuff.
If I remember correctly, you can transfer arrange teams from one memory card to another, so just plug your memory card into the first memory card slot and his into the second and load up the game. Then go into arrange mode and copy all the teams over to the other memory card.
I'll load up the game later tonight and confirm that you can do that, but I'm pretty sure you can.Comment

Are there updated rosters for this game on the Wii? I played this for the first time today and love it. It feels exactly like Bottom of the 9th from PS1 that Konami made.

I heard that you can't transfer rosters/files on the wii version, so there won't be any updated rosters out there unfortunately. I always wondered why they didn't allow it.Comment

Correct. The Wii won't allow you to share rosters. Best you can do on the Wii is make all the changes yourself.
I have the PS2 version mainly because roster sharing is at least possible. I may have to dig this one back out. I had a lot of fun creating classic players and recreating teams like the '82 Brewers.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
Just picked this game up for the ps2 at the used game store and I can't believe it. After years of searching I finally found a deep baseball game that anyone can pick up and play.
I have been searching for a baseball game for what seems like years.
Now all I have to do is update some rosters. (Or find some PS2 ones online but I have a feeling that isn't the easiest.)
Here is hoping they release a 2010, I noticed that they didn't announce 2008 until May so I'm going to just hope and dream that this game comes out again.
(I can't believe I'm saying this but I would be willing to buy a Wii if that was my only option for 2010 . . . . I haven't really enjoyed baseball like this since the old C64 days or maybe the NES or SNES.)
I'm going to take the time and read throught this thread in the next couple days.Comment

if you can read japanese, you can get last year's version, 2009 is the latest (available for both PS2 and wii in japan). if you must have it in english, then you already have the latest version. i actually emailed konami and asked them if they will make a 2010 version and they said no plans for now.Pro Yakyu Spirits Translation Site

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
This game is just plain old fashion fun. Now I remember why I loved it so much the first time around.
It inspired me to start up a season, using a compelation of my favorite players.
Lineup
CF Marlon Byrd
LF Mark Teahan
1B Joey Votto
DH Frank Thomas
2B Robinson Cano
RF Vlad Guerrero
3B Scott Rolen
C David Ross
SS Rich Aurilia
Bench
OF Jacque Jones
RF Cliff Floyd
C Kurt Suzuki
1B Sean Casey
Rotation
John Lester
Cliff Lee
Aaron Harang
Tim Wakefield
Mark Prior
Bullpen
Huston Street
Denny Bautista
Pat Neshek
Bob Howry
CJ Wilson
Aurthur Rhodes
Jeremy Affeldt
All the players ratings are whatever they were out of the box, so some players are probably better/worse than you would think of them today. I'm actually going to get rid of Vlad though, because I originally added him to my roster when I realized I sucked at hitting and needed another hitter to actually score, but now that's no longer the case. He'll probably just be replaced by Timo Perez so I have a backup IF.
Don't know if you're still wondering since it's two months later, but no you cannot use alternate uniforms in season mode.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
Ha, you're right. I actually realized about a week ago because I took a look at his info screen and realized I had been calling him the wrong name the whole time.
I stopped that franchise anyway though, and started updating the rosters. Only thing I have to do now is add some of the missing players I haven't already added. It was a daunting task, but I knocked it out little by little.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
The good thing is you can mix and match difficulty levels in this game. Say you're better at pitching than hitting, you can set the cpu's hitting difficulty higher than their pitching difficulty. Or the other way around. What I always do when I come back to this game is start at either normal or the difficulty above it(I believe expert), and go from there and try and find the right difficulty for me.Comment
