I just wanna be able to play this game without translation guide (which doesn't help in all areas of the game). I think that wouldn't be too expensive for the publisher, cause in america and europe would be a lot more buyers of this game. That's the only thing i want and i think most of you will agree.
How many people realistically would buy the game in the US and Europe? Is it really worth their while? If it was, I'd imagine it'd be done by now.

The overwhelming majority of the PYS sales is to the Asian market (obviously) so I can't see Konami bending over backwards to create the menus/language in English when such a small minority will actually have an interest in buying.

I know I'm probably the only one here who doesn't want to see this game in English but I think by translating you sacrifice a vital aspect of the game - it's culture, one thing that certainly attracts me to the game in the first place.

Again, you're entitled to your opinion, but why worry about it for those of us that would want it? You don't HAVE TO play the translated version if one were made. I

'm not asking for the announcing and other atmospheric things to be in English, this we agree on...it would kill what the game is meant to be for me.

BUT, it would not be hard to translate the menus into another language I don't think. It's been done for numerous titles over the years, and on games with significantly fewer resources. Whether or not they do it or not is obviously uncertain. the game has grown in polularity here though and they would certainly expand their market if they did it. Like I said, it's a no-lose.

        Fair enough, valid points.

Konami should release a $10 add-on that can be downloaded for that. Uh-oh, now they just gone and pissed off the people with no internet access in US/Europe and those not wanting to pay for it.

Can't you see, a game publisher can never win!

lol...very true, no they can't. If the option is available, they've done their part though. My only thing is I'd like to get into this game. Love the sport, and love the Japanese representation of it as well. I just can't justify spending the extra money and putting in the extra work just to be able to play it.

As for the internet connection thing that's a whoe other can of worms...lol.

It's undoubtedly a fantastic game and worth the time/effort if you can afford the time and effort to spend on it.

I agree, a FULL translation would be pointless and also kind of ruin the experience. However, what I and others are hoping for is that they add MORE English to the game so that gaijin can work their way through the game without getting stuck. Their menus ALREADY have SOME English, so requesting that they add a bit more is not unreasonable. It seems to me like it would be easy enough for them to do, even if there is no real benefit for them to do so beyond the extra 500-1000 copies they might sell.

Well good luck with it guys.

Mr. Negativity here doesn't see it happening ... but who knows!

It's really not that far fetched of a scenario. There's very likely someone here at OS that knows who to talk to, or at least knows someone who knows who to talk to. It's just a matter of finding that connection. Crazier things have happened.
