Ok Luki, when hitting in this game you have to think "realistic" as far as batting goes. Not only do you have to place "the bat on the ball" but you also need to have good timing; and because the pitching speed changes are "realistic" you need to make all necessary adjustments.
So if you sitting on a fastball and the pither throws a change up or slider you will be way ahead of the pitch (and viceversa). Practice, practice, practice...(practice?......we talkin' bout practice) is the best tip for hitting.
Also, if the ball is outside the strike zone it usually ends up in a weak pop-up or grounder; so you need to develop a good eye for the strike zone.
