i am amazed that this got the same score as asb 2004. i agree with the review, but felt you were not as harsh on the negative aspects of the game as you should have been.

i agree it was a great review but should have got a higher score. i really think it needs to be judged on the online expereince which to me is way higher than what the score was given. i played a couple games offline and wasn't really feeling good about the game, now after a few hours online i really love this game .

Great review Mike!! This game is a blast. I was one of those critics in the beginning but after giving it some more time, it has worked out to be a fun game overall.

Seriously though man, an 83 is awful high. I am one of the rare people who rented it and gave it some more time myself and still didn't think too highly of it...probably around 20 hours or so. In my opinion, ign was too low, OS too high.

With all due respect, (I swear and enjoy the site greatly), I hope this wasn't a review that had "let's stick it to ign" in the back of your mind. If I gave a non-gamer the 4 major baseball games it again would be difficult for me to believe that they think IP is on even keel with ASB.

Thanks for letting me voice my opinion. In the grand scheme of things, I'm enjoying my baseball gaming as it is. I personally would recommend that some serious rental time be taken before shelling out the $50.

I really feel like the game needs to be judged as an online experience and no a single player one because it was obviously made for that. Now people who dont like to play online should be fully aware of this, so a review should state this fact. It almost needs two scores, one for online people and one for offline. I'd give it about a 75 for offline, 92 for online.
