I know it is only a short video but I didn't see any new animations...all were what we have seen before (hi-fives coming off the field, quad stretches after an extra basehit, etc).

Ditto for the 6 minute video with one exception...I haven't see that inside pitch animation where the player spins away and then says something to the pitcher.

Hopefully they added some we aren't seeing because I think that keeps the game fresh.

And the one animation I hope they got rid of is where the pitcher tips his hat every time he strikes someone else. You see the same animation when they hit a player (as an apology). It might just be me but in addition to never seeing a tip of the hat in a real NPB game after a K, it also comes off as a little arrogant.

Either way, the game is looking pretty good and Muka is really doing a GREAT service to the community. If you are on the fence, stop it. At least get PYS06 if you are not going to get 2010. You will not regret it!

Does anyone here play the Stardom (aka Career/"Road to the Show"/"My Player") mode in Pro Yakyu Spirits? If so, has this Appeal screen been translated before, and if not, would anyone be interested:

I think Muka was asking if anyone would like the abilities to be translated.....if that is the case Muka, yes I would like a translation of it.....I went "blind" into this stage trying to build a player to my liking in PYS6....any translation of any part of this great game would be appreciated, THANK YOU.

Yes I have done the translation for that particular screenshot. You will see that I might say "I think" or "this probably" because I am not a big Stardom player either so I have no idea what actual special skills or bonuses the appeals will give you, although I can make very good educated guesses based on my experience in Konami games. So it would be great if you guys can go ahead and test this out in your Spirits 6 and 2010 when it comes out, and then we can edit it together and maybe in the end we can make a full FAQ like that and we can host it on GameFAQ or something. Then in the future we can all just update it yearly or something, it will be great for all the new players.

On this particular screen a player is creating a rookie pitcher and here you pick 4 appeals out of 20. Obviously the appeals will be completely different if you are making a hitter

Appeals will directly affect how your base ratings look as a rookie. If you don’t like your ratings or the breaking pitches the game gives to you, I believe you can always cancel and back out of the screen, and even if you choose the same appeals again the game will give you slightly different results. I believe you may only choose 1 skill from each category.
                    <O></O>
Parenthesis ( ) is the category this skill the game says belong to:
                    <O></O>
                    First row, left to right:

                    1. Fielding - makes your defense better (Defense)
                    2. Future Starting Pitcher - gives you a starter's stamina (Stamina)
                    3. Future Closer - gives you a reliever's stamina (Stamina)
                    4. Back-to-back days Ok - lets you recover faster so you can throw consecutive games. (Stamina)
                    5. Ex-Clean-up hitter – this will make your pitcher better at hitting than the average pitchers (Hitting)
                    <O></O>
                    Second row, left to right:
                    <O></O>
                    6. Fastball type – starts you off with a better fastball (Pitcher)
                    7. Soft/technical type – starts you off with better control (Pitcher)
                    8. Traditional type – (Pitcher)
                    9. Breaking ball type – (Pitcher)
                    10. Control machine – (Breaking Ball)
                    <O></O>
                    Third row, left to right:
                    <O></O>
                    11. “Family’s sword” – gives you a signature breaking pitch (Breaking Ball)
                    12. Many breaking balls – gives you a variety of breaking pitches (Breaking Ball)
                    13. Slider-type - (Breaking Ball)
                    14. Curve-type - (Breaking Ball)
                    15. Fork-type - (Breaking Ball)
                    <O></O>
                    Forth Row, left to right:
                    <O></O>
                    16. Sinker-type - (Breaking Ball)
                    17. Shoot-type - (Breaking Ball)
                    18. Star in-waiting – (Mental)
                    19. Aware of runners – this will probably give you special skills allowing you to hold off base stealers (Mental)
                    20. Intelligent/Clever type – this will probably give you special skills such as Pinch 4 or Poker face (Mental)
                    <O
<OAgain, please go ahead and test these out (when you see me on OS forums, it means I'm most likely, make that 99% chance, at work so I do not have access to my games) and give me feedback and corrections. Thanks. </O

                              Just taking a shot here......

Anyone with an old version of this game want to trade it for MLB 09 (PS3 of course). I realize most people who have PYS prolly buy The Show, but ya never know. PM if interested and we can work out a trade.

tuffyrhodes, i kept wanting to ask...are you the real tuffy rhodes?? lol

anywya the official site was updated with another column, mostly about Stardom mode. now the manager will give you tests. like keep your ERA under 3 in the next 7 games. if you fail you could get a Game Over screen. positional battles is another big new thing. you will have to compete with your teammates to win the position. there are situations where you might lose certain competition and you have to treat your teammates to dinner. also if your rival is having an amazing season you could also get fired/game over. it's supposed to add a lot of excitement and challenges to this mode.

man this game is just days away now, not sure when i will be able to get it yet but hope u all have urs preordered.
