Re: MLB The Show vs MLB 2K

Just like any other comparison war... The people that like The Show will think its better and those that like 2k will say that it is better.

Just play what makes you happy as a gamer and stop arguing about it.

I LOVE The Show, it is the ONLY reason I bought a PS3 a few years ago and I'm a HUGE baseball fan. With that said, I might buy 2K this year (along with The Show), just to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Is 2K better? Nowhere near but it seems to be fun. If they could slow down the swings and make the runners run like people then it would be a little better. I can't really say what sliders will do for the game since the demo doesn't allow any adjustments but it looks like it might be a fun game to play.

As for the Show, its not better because more people play it , nor is it better because more people here think its better.. Its better because of the attention to detail. Not because of hit sticks or graphics. It just plays better..

That doesn't mean that having a choice is a bad thing. Play one or the other, or both and enjoy the game.

We play for to entertain ourselves and become immersed in something that we could only fantasize about doing in real life. I'm 43 and I will NEVER , NEVER EVER play MLB baseball.

But I can now, in my livingroom and if I choose to play The Show or play 2K, that is up to me. Its my life and my dream

    Good Day!

Re: MLB The Show vs MLB 2K

I bought my PS3 a month ago just for the show. I have only had a xbox untill now. And I just got tired of suffering through the 2k games. I did download the 2k demo on my xbox tonight just to see how it was. Boy am i glad im getting the show.

In MY opinion after playing both demos, the 2k demo felt like an arcade to me after playing the show. As a hardcore baseball guy I cant ever see myself playing 2k baseball games again.

To the guy above who said 2k baseball guys love it because they just have an xbox. you are right man. dead on right.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I cant wait for the show and im so glad I bought a PS3

I like your post here. Im 27 and injured my knee this last summer and am still rehabing it so for 2 years in a row im not able to play in my 18+ league. So for me the show is as close as i can get to playing in a game as i can for now.
