Hey, quick question that I haven't seen the answer to... does iOOTP allow me to play with fictional teams like standard OOTP on PC or is it MLB only?

There are Fictional Leagues and you can start with an Inaugural Draft if you wish.

Here are the options for Fictional Leagues
2 Divisions, 8 Teams
4 Divisions, 16 Teams
6 Divisions, 30 Teams

Yes, I have it on the ipad and it works great. Also, to my understanding they are working on an ipad version and when it releases you will get it free if you already have the current version.

Apple just announced the solution to the problem of having an iPhone AND iPod. App-data synching across devices.

So in theory...play iOOTP on your iPhone on the way to/from work. Get home, sync to cloud. Switch to iPad, sync latest updates, continue playing your season.

2:31PM Backed up over WiFi only, including purchased music, books, photos and videos, device settings, and App data as well.


2:30PM Every day content will be backed up. Get a new device? Just type in your ID and password and there's your content, pushed right there.

2:30PM Now we're talking about backing up devices to the cloud "for those people who want to be completely PC-free."

Ditto. I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat for work.

As much as I love my Galaxy, and prefer it to the Iphone, I wish the apps were shared. As it is, i'd love to be able to play Civilization and Infinity Blade, but that isn't gonna happen anytime soon.

When I add the Logo's to the Logo folder that already has 2 teams in it, the MLB Logo's dont show up when I go to start a new league....any idea why?

When I add the Logo's to the save game folder they show up but the following teams logo's are not showing up:
LA Dodgers
LA Angels
NY Yankees
NY Mets
Chi Cubs
Chi White Sox

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Something happened with the update Heres an explanation on how to get logos now

Here is a fix to the problem. The new (1.02+) 2011 quickstart database does not include teams nicknames. Because of this the game will not pull the proper logos for the teams.

To fix it you need to copy a version on teams.dat to the 2011 quickstart directory that has the nicknames included with it. Once it is in the 2011 quickstart directory it will then start to look for the teamname_nickname files again in the default logos directory.

Here is a link to a corrected teams.dat file:
teams.dat

It needs to be copied into:
iOOTP2011.app/iOOTPData/historical_quickstarts_2011Season.quick

After that just start a new league and all should be good again.

Let me know if you need anymore clarification on the instructions they might be a little murky for some.

Im in the 2026 season with the Cubs. Won the WS in like 2017 and no dice since then.

Great game, can't wait till they add some features to make it more in depth. Coaches, contract stuff, etc.

so if i use that teamdat file, i wont have to manually type in the team nicknames every time i start a new season, correct? just making sure, im a lil behind on this for some reason.
