Manager Mode has been updated once again. There is a way you can see every pitch that is thrown, or switch back & forth between 1-pitch and Pitch-by-Pitch mode.

This is explained under the 3rd image in the link below...

Ok I just uploaded a nice upgrade to the site. I hate "cut & pasty" projects but these are important pages to learn to truly understand the game. They were a bear to finish and am glad they are done & out of the way. Whew!

      - Added a new "Attributes & Abilities" section and included two new pages. One used to be called "Pitch Descriptions" which has been removed from the Database section. It's been upgraded and re-named "Pitch Types" and placed in the new attributes section.

      - Also created was a new "Special Pitches" page. I used Nagi's info to make this and I also got video of each special pitch. I'll try to post them all but it's going to be time consuming. I'll create & upload those in pieces on days when I have like 20 minutes to work on the site.

Great work as always Vern, are you sure you don't do this for a living!

One thing that helped me a lot when first playing the game was that the pitch selection screen displays the pitch types more or less in the direction they actually move! Except of course for fastballs which go straight and not up.

LOL, if I did this for a living the site would've been done & finished a long time ago. I wish I could sit in an office with Muka for a few weeks full time and knock everything out. Just have to do a little at a time. And yea, without the pitch directional guides I would've made those pages much earlier, but it's still good to ID the pitches.

Have you faced the Eagles #41 Aoyama? He has a slider that breaks to the side, a slider that breaks down, and a "shoot" which is basically a reverse slider. In addition, he has like 4 other pitches to mix in, thank God most of them aren't any good. On the same team you have Arime #26 with two sliders that look identical but one has less movement. It's cool because with 12 pitch repertoire capability the game has you can do things like that.

To tell you the truth i still haven't figured out who most players are other than some of the top stars.

It's still kind of like a fictitious league to me but i'm trying to learn. I know more players by their faces more than names.

I'll definitely have to take a look at the Eagles #41. How i wish the players attribute pages had the names in english!

Yea it stinks but just keep this site handy while your playing. Just click "roster" and you'll see all names in English. It lists all of the minors players as well, you can see their stats in the "Farm Team" section.

Nippon Professional Baseball Organization Official WebSite

If you plan to keep the game then you might want to even print them out because I'm having a hard time finding the 2010 rosters with player numbers.

                  Vernon,

For the excel database we should copy the Japanese names in addition to the english ones. I'll post an example at spiritstranslation.
