Well if you want him to be 22 in 2008 then his ratings should probably be very low since he'll be a superstar hitter by 26 if he starts off with 8 BA, 139 POW as a 22 year old. Players do develop over multiple seasons. If you're just playing Arrange mode it might be worth simply editing a player in the Indians minors to be him too! There are a lot of nobodies in the game.

Is there anybody in particular you think I should try and edit Santana into, or would you consider making him again?Comment

I can make him again but won't have a chance until next week. You should learn to make your own! Carryover Chocolate and the Steakhouse Job are your friends.Comment

No, I mean edit normal players, like you said, "nobodies". I guess I'll try to learn but I haven't been too successful with Success Mode.Comment

Re: Password Requests for whoever still plays MLB Power Pors 2008..
A few keys:
1. Load up on Carryover Chocolate at the Shop once you have about $300. Load up again later when you run out. The Carryover Chocolate lets you have more event opportunities per month and is indispensable. Don't waste the discount ticket on it.
2. Do training sessions that the coach is watching. I do a lot of the side quests so I'm usually passing my scouting check and lineup check by a hair.
3. Avoid injuries and/or reload a previous save when they occur. When an injury occurs you lose that's week's event, another to heal, and also a pile of talent points. They're absolutely crushing.
4. Complete the Steakhouse story arc if you're building a high power hitter or starting pitcher. As a bonus you make money while completing the arc.
5. Gamble for abilities in your second year (save before gambling and reload if you fail). I like to gamble when the odds are about 30%. If you want to save-load more often then you can go lower. The cheaper the better.
Do all that and it's hard not to make a very good player. The only thing that's really tough IMO is to make a high endurance, high control pitcher, with good stuff. Control is just a little too costly IMO.Comment

The MLB Power Pros wiki has all the where/how stuff but if you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer them (assuming they're about things I do - I avoid the dating arcs usually).

Re: Password Requests for whoever still plays MLB Power Pors 2008..
Similarly, if you do any pitchers you're sometimes best off trying to get their best pitch to where you want it early on and working on velocity after that. Assuming it's not one of the horizontal breaking pitches (the AI seems to feast on them) you'll probably see some really ugly swings. A good curve/change/split/sinker will eat the AI alive even if it's soft. Stamina is however somewhat important to boost early since it will allow you to stay on the mound longer during your starts. More time out there equals bigger bonuses.Last edited by ComfortablyLomb; 06-27-2011, 05:06 PM.Comment
