I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do.

    Start with the Rangers
Start with one of the worse teams in the game (Pirates probably)
Start out coaching in Rookie ball and work my way up
Start unemployed and take first job offered to me.
Put all MLB teams in a hat and whoever I choose is who I go with.

Thanks Man! If I were you, I would probably choose to start with the worst team like the Pirates. It is really fun to build up a team from the bottom! Are you on the OOTP forums? I recognize your avatar I'm pretty sure a answered one of your questions in the forum. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to look at my dynasty, i really do appreciate it! Good luck with your game.

I decided to go with the first job offered me. At the end of the first season, I was offered jobs from St Louis and Atlanta as their Rookie League Manager. I decided to go with Atlanta.

I gotta say it's a difficult project. Since I'm not the GM, I have no control over roster moves. And the GM is constantly calling guys up or sending guys down. I feel like I'm always juggling the line up and rotation. It's fun though.

They gave me a goal to finish better than .500. Right now I'm sitting at 8-8. Very streaky team, I lost my first three, then won three straight, then lost two, and now I'm riding a two game winning streak. I manage all the games so it takes a little longer, but it's worth it for me.

About to start one with either DBacks or Padres. I started one with Nationals like a week ago just to test some stuff out and made the playoffs with a 91-71 record lol. Bullpen was amazing for me.

Re: OOTP 12 Franchise Progress Thread

Despite saying I was 8-8 earlier, I actually meant 5-5. Dunno if it was a lack of judgement or fat fingers...but whatever.

At any rate, I played a few more games tonight and the team seems to be coming together.

I've won 4 of my last 5 and am sitting in a tie for first in my division. As I spend more time managing games I'm seeing the strengths and weaknesses of my players and it's starting to pay dividends.

The GM constantly changing my roster is quite a challenge, but I welcome it. It's been fun learning different players and adjusting as he calls up/demotes players. My current roster is only 22 players, 10 position and 12 pitchers...and since my league uses a DH, it really makes it a challenge. But so far so good.

My only hope is that the game is programmed to offer promotions at a reasonable(or even unreasonable fast) rate. I can imagine managing a Rookie League club for too long.

Funniest thing for me was going against Corey Patterson in a Rookie League Series. Dude absolutely beasted against me...but it was still funny to think he was playing rookie league lol.

At any rate, currently sitting at 9-6 and hoping to continue at this pace. Would like to continue climbing the ranks as the seasons go on.

Downloaded Cubbyfans 2011 roster set and started one with the Rockies with the deadline moves. Also my team is like 22-29, my farm system has been real good. Pomeranz has been lights out, along with Matzek. Alex White is struggling for me in AAA though, close to 8era.

I'm using basbeall mogul 10 but don't feel like mAking a new thread

I chose the 61 SF Giants..trying to win the WS in SF sooner than they did in real life. Boy do we have a lineup Mays McCovey and Cepeda are our 3-4-5 hitters. Matty and Felipe Alou sitting on the bench I want to get them in but I can't my outfield is pretty darn good with no where to put em. I've played I thhink 7 games so far and we are 4-3..Willie Mays is hitting the cover off the in th beginning of the year leading the NL I'm HR and RBI..Really Fun game

Just started a new fictional league and took over the worst team. I was right around .500 in the first month but now i'm like 20-30 games below 500 on the 1st of August.
