    Some good points guys...
About seeing what the computer needs...
Go to the Roster Analysis screen and cycle through the levels. It will say what each team needs at each position AND at each level. I usually use this screen right before trying to pry a player away from a team. Hope this helps a little.

Yeah, I do that too. But I still wish there were a way for the CPU to tell you what you need to give them to get Player X. Instead of saying "Joe Blow doesn't fit into our plans right now." Say "You have to give us Stud Shortstop if you want to get Player X"

Yeah, that's what I'd like to see instead of that blah blah blah isn't in our plans. How would I know what your plan is? So then maybe what the guy before me suggested would help.

Oh, I see. I thought you meant to get an idea of who they might want BEFORE the trade screen.
Yes I agree, a counter proposal would be very helpful and more realistic.

I agree, but I think it would be a lot better if you were offered more trades throughout the season. I don't want to get one after every game, but there seemed to be too few this year.

Also, and I think this is something that should go in any game that has trading, I think there should be more of a negotiating aspect to trading. A lot of times, the CPU will come back with something like "Player X doesn't fit into our plans right now" I'd love to be able to reply with the equivalent of "Okay, then who do I have to give you to get your player?" In other words, tell me who IS in your plans right now, or do I not have a shot to get your player with the scrubs I have? It seems more like a guessing game right now.

I agree with that entirely. Exactly like you said, last year it just seemed like a guessing game. I always thought they had a great franchise mode, but it just seemed like it was so hard to build up a franchise because you never knew what the heck to give in a trade. I remember just cycling through almost my entire roster, and for every player getting "So and so doesn't fit into our plans right now". Very frustrating. And also, what was that deal with making trades before you started a franchise? Wasn't there always a message like, "position integrity problem"? That was bad too, because you could hardly ever make trades that happened in real life to "update" your rosters before you started a franchise.
