In the MLB 2K forum? I don't think so.

Played both this weekend. 2K is definitely easier out of the box for both hitting and pitching.
The Show does a lot of things extremely well and some may cringe in comparison of the two - visually speaking.
But gameplay wise, I like 2K better.

          Moved to the appropriate forum.

I'm honestly perplexed as to why there can't ever be a civil debate between both sides.
I've been to other threads that bring up both games, and it's like if you say one negative thing about you-know-what, people come out in droves to flame whoever dare say something negative about their precious.

I appreciate all the awesome things about The Show. But have more fun with 2K.
And honestly, why wouldn't anyone want stiff competition?
I see no value in wishing one game to fail over the other.

Here's my take. I bought both games for ps3 and I have only played The Show for a couple hrs and been playing 2K as my main game so far. IMO, it has a more natural, "organic" feel to the gameplay and outcomes of the games. The Show feels much more rigid, and "On rails" so to speak. However, I can totally see how The Show dominates.....just not for me this year so far.

I guess it's entirely based on your perception of easier.

For me, I always find the Show easier hitting wise.

Pitching wise, I've yet to try this new "pulse pitching" system, so I'll have to get back to you on it. But 2k12's pitching is rather easy.

I think both are rather good games. But if you can get The Show, you should. In general, The Show has always done a better job of producing realism, at least in my honest opinion.

Well said! When i play the show, the visuals absolutely are mind blowing on how they represent the game of baseball especially this year with the cut scenes bringing in between pitch to a video game. I put in MLB 2k12 and right away you notice the graphical difference obviously, but more realistic gameplay for me has to MLB 2k12 using sliders from OSF and getting a feel for pitch by pitch baseball. But i cant put down either game for there own reasons....Guess im playing both this year, thats gonna be interesting. Again just my opinion.

do yourself a favor and stick with The Show, highly unlikely 2K returns to baseball next year or ever again

                      same here.

                      to the OP,
i have a ps3, the show 12 and have 2k12 shipping, but have played the demo and 2k11.

I find the hitting easier in 2k.
Now granted, I don't have a problem hitting in the show for the most part.
Buuuut, the camera angle, even with custom cameras, makes it still too hard to pick up on low pitches or big breaking pitches.

The 2k angles even without the FULL customization options for batting camera like the Show has, make it easier to read pitches of all kinds.

Thats been my only problem hitting in the Show, reading those pitches.

Would any of you guys be able to comment on the online experience between the two games? I started/tried to play online with The Show for the first time ever with my brother, but it seems to be incredibly frustrating. For example, there seems to be a high rate of "traffic delay" that leads to our systems freezing and having to reboot the console. Another thing is that with a green online bar, the ball will disappear well before home plate.

It just seems that these issues are causing my brother and I to think about switching to 2K12 for online play. Any thoughts? Thanks!

well, ANYTHING is better than the Show's online experience.
                          lol

But, yea, 2k is the better choice for online.
I tried the Show online again this year and wanted to throw my controller.
                          Lesson learned.
