I noticed in the moves on IGN for ASB2005, that the camera instantly goes to a cutscene when a home run is it! NOOOOO!!!! Please make sure you can turn that option off, or do not have it at all! I beg of you! I want to be able to run after the ball, even if it's a home run. I don't want it to go to a cutscene as soon as the ball leaves the bat.

I don't think that was the real thing for a home run... if it is, then... yeah. According to that movie, you don't even see where the ball goes. I don't think they will be that shallow to do that. Don't worry... but if they ARE that bad, IMO it's a game killer, hands down. I'm sorry if you are going to give me the blue head that looks up to me and shakes its head for saying that, but it's just not good for me if it will show something that bad.

I couldnt agree more. The cutscenes take away all drama from a long fly ball, and they take away from seeing where the ball lands. Im hoping that they added a user adjustable camera for fielding or at least added some more playable cameras.

You only get the cut scene if the ball is crushed...otherwise feel free to scale the wall and try to bring it back.

Thanks for the info asb_man. That is good news. Will the same great collision detection still be in the game. It's great to watch a Homerun bounce around in the stands.

I hope that is really the case, asb man. I remember hearing the past two years that the cut scene HR cam would only be used on "no doubters", but it still ended up being seen on at least 80 % of homers hit.
