I don't have a problem turning 2, the cpu seems to take an extra hop when the middle infielders are close to each other. Several times I have had big innings because the cpu took its time. I agree future throw makes things quick. I would still like to get to the ball quicker. The problem with ASB's fielder control is the freezing. When the fielder lines up with the direction of the ball on a ground ball, the fielder is frozen untill the ball gets there. Not a game killer, and I appreciate what they are trying to do while other games field everything on the run, ASB allows the fielder to field the ball from a set position. I would just like more speed and flexibility from the infielders. Jeter is the coverboy and we have yet to see his jump throw. Why does is take 4 days to get up snaring a grounder. Wouldn't it be nice to see an infielder dive to his left on his knees pop up and fire it to first aggressively? Yes the backhand, plant, and throw is nice but its been that way for the last threes years. I like ASB but the infielding logic seems to be behind its competitors. I hope its a great game this year, but it seems like they make these same promises every year. "Better controls and gameplay". I don't think the way their fielder engine is set up they have enough flexibility to change at this stage in the game. I hope I am wrong.
