When bringing in a new pitcher a generated count is already in place. Does this generated count, count towards the new pitchers stats?? (number of pitches thrown.)

Could you go into some detail regarding the changes made to the roster management in exhibition mode? The roster restrictions last year made it impossible for me to accurately update each team's roster, which really detracted from my overall experience. I loved the gameplay, but not having correct rosters made it difficult to immerse myself in the game.

Honestly, I reccommend downloading the most recent rosters. We didn't spend any time on the 'Exhibition' roster management since we figured most people would either do all those moves in their Franchise or else just download the newest roster for exhibition. Sorry!

Did you guys ever find out anything definite on widescreen and/or HD support

Shea, Minute Maid have the Apple and Train. There's various audio things that can be triggered like the Roar in Comerica. The expansion teams have some too...

how about the new padres and blue jays dark alternates, the a's green alternates(not black), the rangers new sleeveless home jersey and the orioles new look with block lettering, no black trimming- (orange letters with black outlines instead of vice versa)?

Nope, didn't have time this year.

yes

Are there any options in Franchise that will be left out of Expansion mode, and if so what are they?
The only thing I can think of is that Expansion teams can't earn 'future' stadiums...only teams who are due to get new ones in the next 20 years have that option. You expansion team is getting a new one in 2004.

However, nothing at this point could be a Gamebreaker
Just so you guys know, if I had to list my biggest dissapointment with ASB05, it would be that we had to take out check swings/appeals during online play. We just couldn't keep the game in synch with them in.

It sounds like you are saying that we can finally use the minor leaguers in Spring Training games. Will I be able to just use anyone from my team?..or will I have to put them on the ML roster?..and if so will that be without having to use an option?
You would have to call them up first and it does force you to use their option. Every year I call up my best prospect or two in Sept., so usually they are on the roster come spring training the following year.

Will there be split squad action in Spring Training games? I doubt it but eh, it would be a neat little feature but not really important IMO.
- Sort of, there are scheduled double-headers against two different teams in two locations and you set you lineup for each one seperately. So I guess the answer is 'yes'.

Will the other team's AI start the Spring Training game with most of their true starters and then bench them after the 5th inning or so and let the bench players and/or minor leaguers play?
-We use the same logic as an all-star game where they try to get most people in.

In the All-Star Game, will the other team's AI pull the players every 3 innings or so and let the benched players play?

What is the likelihood this (squat) will be fixed?
I think the crouch topic has been beaten to a pulp, but...it's significantly less than before. OS's Steve will testify. Steve, please take the stand...

The box score order is still sometimes off. The players didn't bat in the order it lists, they batted in the order you set in the 'Set Lineup'. We didn't have time to address this.
My question… How are you supposed to anticipate which fielder you will be controlling when the ball is hit?
Trust me when I say after playing two or three games, you will learn how to anticipate where to go. You have the landing icon, an arrow stemming from your player icon, and the ball to look for. The beginning levels rotate the camera for you as well. Plus there's a tutorial to watch if you have questions.

Also, will players progress throughout the year, or just at the end of each season/spring training?

Letter grade, and both throughout the year and after spring training.

It's been tweaked, but give Coco some love...

Have you made it easier to edit rosters outside of the game, for the people who can't download rosters? For example, is the game less strict this time, or will it still complain when you try to trade a LF for a COF?

Does the Future Marlins stadium follow the design the team has

Does anybody know if the the announcers will say if somebody is getting close or broken a record? If its a team record or MLB Record?

I'm the rare breed of gamer who loves ASB for it's manage-only mode and my question is regarding player development in the franchise mode. From what I understand player development seems 100% tied into Spring training, as in you probably work through drills to give your players better attributes. But is this the sole way for your players to improve, and if you play manage-only is there a way to 'manage' your guys through the drills for better attributes?
You can still sim and get results.
Do players progress or regress during the season, in terms of player ratings and on-the-field performance?

will Pudge be on the Tigers roster when the game ships ?

in 1 of steve screen shots in the pitcher mound visit u left out the word of in the screensshots will that be fixed

actually I think I spoke too soon on that one I don't know if there will be 'official' leagues. BUT I'm sure we (you guys included) can manage to put something together...

These guys are top notch and to even allude to them being "sneaky" about anything is plain wrong. I'm not knocking you asking the question...but maybe you could have asked it differently.

Did you ever get it so if someone was playing the Phillies in Franchise they'd move into their new Stadium eventually?
They'll be in Citizens Bank Park this year in ASB and in real life. Several other teams will get new stadiums in ASB as the years go on.

Ok, gonna ask about online leagues, but I know you don't know. Anyway, if we were to create our own leagues, will there be anyway to download box scores for stat purposes. It would be sweet if there was a place on the web we could store them, then go grab them. I know that is highly unlikely though. But then anyone could write up a quick program that sends the stats into a SQL database for manipulation. BAM!!! League with stats .

Ok, just babbling impossible ideas now. Thanks again ASB_MAN
