Re: What makes 2k more fun?
I've played 2k7, 2k8, 2k11 and 2k12. 2k11 (on the 360) is by far the best in my opinion.Comment

Re: What makes 2k more fun?
2k12 is leaps and bounds better than 2k11. If they can just eliminate the bugs from 2k12, 2k13 should be an excellent baseball game for us to enjoy over the summer (and beyond.........).Comment

It's a thread about 2k baseball and what gamers like about the series. I don't see how hard it is to comprehend.........Comment

Re: What makes 2k more fun?
Without doubt, it's the pitching that makes the game for me.
The use of the stick to mirror the different pitch types is such a simple and obvious concept and it works brilliantly within the game. To be honest, I'm amazed none of the competitors have included it in their gameplay by now, even just as another option.
Also, the commentary adds great character to the game and for a numbers geek like myself, it's all about the stats!!
Being in the UK, I just wish they would release another PAL version for the Xbox, as I feel that the game doesn't play quite as well on the PS3.Comment

Re: What makes 2k more fun?
I also find the variety of hits much better on 2k11 than they are on 2k12. Perhaps this is because I play an un-patched 2k12, but the game is full of weak grounders and pop ups.
Another thing that 2k12 does quite poorly is super simming pitching. Again, I believe this was patched into 2k11. Starts will rarely go past inning 4 or 5 if you supersim pitching on 2k12. This destroys your bullpen, and makes for unrealistic stats.
2k12's pitching interface and punishment for over-used pitch system however is an incredible feature and is reason enough to keep playing 2k12.Comment

You guys like to complain, but in my opinion the fight is even. Both sides are annoying and apparently bans will be the only way to get it to stop.
Stop asking the moving question and stay on topic with the thread. Anyone have a problem with it, PM me. If I see it in this thread, I'm handling out cards.
My post is the last off topic post here. Re: What makes 2k more fun?
One of the things I much prefer about 2k11 are the cameras. The 2k9 fielding camera and the 2k10 base running camera are miles better than the 2k12 method of viewing the game from behind the plate. I enjoy site-seeing during pop ups and flyballs.

Re: What makes 2k more fun?
I like to avoid "slider hell" and "micro-management" as much as possible.
EDIT: One thing I overlooked comparing 2k11 and 2k12 is the my player mode. It is 1 million times better on 2k12 than 2k11.
Currently I am enjoying both games a great deal. I began a franchise on 2k11 with the Blue Jays (2011 rosters too, it's pretty cool), and just created my son on 2k12 for my player mode (this is on PC). I feel like these are the best of both worlds.
Since I have most of my bases covered with those two games, and an extreme overall skepticism for 2k13 I will really need to see something special to get it. I have found ways on 2k11 and 2k12 to enjoy them thoroughly and I don't need to screw around any longer.Last edited by pistolpete; 01-17-2013, 11:57 AM.Comment

No it's not. It's a comparison thread. The mods aren't dumb.

please move this back to the 2k board and get rid of the trolls OS. I created the thread I think I'd know what it is. The last thing I wanted was for this to become a comparison thread. I wrote a long note stating this, but yet they moved it to a general board.Last edited by celtics6; 01-17-2013, 12:42 PM.Comment

Re: What makes 2k more fun?
But Celts, as soon as you introduce the comparative phrase "more fun", of course it's going to beget sizing things up against one another. Maybe you should have considered the title and named it "What makes 2k fun".... then no problems inferring.Comment
