If you have a PS2, you may want to look at MLB 2005.
I played it myself at the 989 Studios two weeks ago, and it gave me that "High Heat" feel.
It won't look as good as some of the other titles, but it felt eerily similar to "High Heat" in pacing, hit variety, and feel at the plate.

so your saying what most High Heat fans luv most... MLB 2005 feels.. looks.. and plays like real baseball?

your saying that MLB 2005 just might have the best gameplay out of the games this year?

so far.. it looks like to me.. BUT I can't judge until I play them all.

I tried ASB the past 2 seasons and while it looks good and the stadiums are great, the gameplay was very subpar IMO. The zone batting last year wasn't close to HH's. This year Acclaim said they'll make it the default so it should be better.

If I were you, I'd definately rent though. Everyone on these boards will give you their personal preference and that might not be what you want in a game. MVP, WSB, ASB and MLB all look very good at this point. It just depends which one will represent the game on the field the best and we won't know that until they come out...

Couldn't agree more about ASB. One of the worst baseball games I have ever played.

Another thing that I liked about HH was the fact that you could play a game in 20-25 minutes because it wasn't bogged down with unnecessary cutscenes and videos. Granted, those types of things can add to the feel of the game, but after awhile it gets old and just slows things down IMO. That's what turned me off about ASB the last couple years.

Both the OS reviewers and the ASB developers say that if you click through the cutscenes, an average game of ASB clocks in at less than 30 minutes.
