    As a pitcher or a batter? Because I had a very hard time striking guys out. As a batter I would strike out a lot though. I'd average about 4 K pitching vs. 14 batting.

                    With zone hitting on (and using the Cubs), I'd strike out at the plate no more than 3-5 times a game. Kind of unrealistic-low I guess. But the key is looking for a fastball and adjusting down to the breaking balls. Also, pitchers all have a certain strategy with each guy. Look at the pitch history to a certain batter and you can almost always tell what pitch they're going to try to throw in each situation to that hitter.

                    I agree that this is a very difficult game, but the more you put into it, the more it gives back to you in terms of realism and a sense of accomplishment. Yet it still managed to win OS's "most disappointing sports game of the year" award.
