    A couple general ASB questions...

I've never owned any past iterations of All-Star Baseball. I'm almost sure I'm getting ASB05. In the meantime, I have a couple general ASB questions that previous-year owners can probably answer...

    1. Are there minor leagues in ASB? If so, how is the depth of the minor leagues in ASB? (Eg: Is it like WSB2k3 where it's just a list of players or do they actually divide your minor leagues into AAA, AA and A a la High Heat?)

    2. Do player uniforms get dirty? If I remember reading correctly, ASB 04 didn't have the players' uniforms getting dirty but someone said the uniforms in '05 will. Can someone confirm?

    3. Do the bats break like in ESPN and MVP 04?

    4. Does ASB keep track of records like WSB2k3 did? (Eg: Most career strikeouts, Most single-season homeruns, etc.)

    5. Are there end of the year awards and trophies such as AL/NL MVP, AL/NL Rookie of the Years, Gold Glove awards, etc.?

    6. During certain camera views, can you see people actually sitting in the dugout? If so, do they move at all? I know in WSB2k3, you could see players in the dugout but each player was static and each dugout didn't vary from team to team. I didn't see anyone sitting in the dugout in the latest ASB 05 screenshots/movies.

    7. Is there career stat tracking? If so, do the announcers make any mention of it? Eg: Say in the 2004 season, Player A from your team led the league in homeruns. When you play the 2005 season, will the announcers mention that Player A led the league last year?

7a. Going back to my Minor League question #1, if the minors do exist in ASB, can you track the minor leaguers' stats or does your scout just give you a general outlook/rating?

    8. I'm sure you have the regular July 31st Trade Deadline. How about the August 31st 2nd Trade Deadline? Do you guys have that? It's not a necessary feature but it could be really cool if such a feature existed, in any game for that matter.

    9. Do you guys have an amateur draft?

    10. When players are running around the base, do they make a 90 degree turn or do they actually round the bases (a la MVP 04)?

    That's it for now.

Yep. Go to the movies linked in the Next Level thread, then watch movie #3. You'll see Aramis Ramirez dive for a ball down the line. The next inning he comes to bat, and he has grass and dirt stains.

Wow, sweet! Another question: When you play with a player who's just been promoted from AA with the name of "Michael Roberts" or something along those lines. Will the announcers say his name? I know WSB2k3 just called out the players' numbers (eg: "Approaching to the plate, Number 23") and that always annoyed me. Not a game breaker by any means but by saying at least a made up player's last name, it adds alot more value and inspiration to play more seasons.
