ASB is very realistic, not HR happy at all. There are no sliders and that is a blessing if you ask me. No countless hours messing with the sliders. Game is realistic out of the box.

I agree. If you lose it's cause you made mistakes, you don't feel cheated. You just work to improve yourself and your team.

            Re: Difficulty? No Sliders?

My personal opinion is that if a game has sliders, it means the developers aren't totally satisfied with their product out of the box. Look at ESPN NHL Hockey, that game is sliders galore. The OS Forum for that game is filled with nothing but slider threads. That's not to say that sliders are bad, though. Sliders can help improve the minute details of the game. Sliders can also help you change the way the game plays (either to have it be more arcadish or more realistic). Sometimes, the sliders aren't that sensitive or effective (WSB2k3's Stolen Bases slider from last year comes to mind).

It's a necessary evil but I'd rather play a game that has effective sliders. The last game that I played which had awesome sliders was High Heat Baseball 2002 for the PC. They had what was called a "tune file" which allows you to change any aspect of the game (they even had a slider for the "Coors Field Effect").

                  Re: Difficulty? No Sliders?

Personally I love having sliders so I can tweak it to my liking. For ie. the game speed in Live.

But don't get me started on the goalie sliders in ESPN Hockey...............

That's the thing with WSB2k3. I tried every possible slider and difficulty set but yet, I found the game extremely easy on Legend/Legend. I'm hoping that won't be the case with ASB05 because I got bored of WSB2k3 after about a month into the season because it was too easy.
