After watching weeks of MVP 2004, I started to feel alittle burned out on the game and I haven't even played it

Online Play (Xbox)
ASB 2005: Yes
MVP 2004: No
When it came to gameplay, it is too early to tell but if history tends to repeat itself, ASB is most likely to more authentic than MVP as I felt that last year's ASB 2004 just needed a few minor tweaks, whereas MVP still had a mile to go. After watching many videos of MVP 2004, I haven't seen hardly any strikeouts by anyone controlling the batter. It appears that it may be near impossible to strikeout in MVP 2004 as making contact is all but guaranteed. Yes, I hear sliders can fix that but that still remains to be seen. So for now, I have to look at history and if ASB fixed several annoying bugs and added better overall atmosphere to this year's game, then ASB 2005 should be in the drivers seat in my book.
Price:
ASB 2005: $39.99 with a bonus disc. (Yanks greatest hits)
MVP 2004: $49.99
I am not a graphics whore as gameplay is what matters the most to me. So with this in mind, I went out on a limb today and prepurchased ASB 2005 as my gut instinct tells me that it will play more authentic to their real life counterpart than MVP and ESPN baseball.
Plus, I wanted to add that since there seems to be alot of negativity circling ASB 2005 in here lately, that we are more to be pleasantly surprised than we are to be let down when compared to MVP 2004 which is riding a major hype machine as we speak
