As other people are saying, it's a cool game, but the big problem is it's in japanese.

Oh, of course.

I pre-ordered it from www.play-asia.com, but most of the other online import shops like www.japanvideogames.com have it as well.

Re: Pro-Baseball 2004

Yeah, i don't see it for Gamecube anywhere(it was on GC last year when it was called THE BASEBALL 2003). I have the freeloader. PS2 was modded, but the mod technique doesn't work for me anymore.

anyway....I remember a couple of years ago, a guy helped me with translation for one of those big head baseball games at GAMEFAQS. Of course, the thread is gone now.

Also, these are some other JBall games-

NECHU 20004 (i played the 2002 version. Pretty cool, more english than usual in the menus)
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...-baseball.html

FIERCE FIGHT PRO BASEBALL (From the people who brought you HOME RUN KING. Anyone ever play it?)

I wouldn't even care about "My Life Mode" (granted I've love to try it but I am realistic about the possibility) if I could just get some translations for the basic menu options and setups. I want to be able to change some of the options pre-game (ie. skill level, base-running, weather (if any), etc.) and know how to do things like make substitutions (defensive or pinch hitters), make defensive alignment changes, substitute pitchers or warm them up (which I kind of know already but I'm not really sure who I am choosing as I can't tell how good they are, what pitches they throw, or even what arm they throw with).

I also would like to know the controls fully since I am sure there are some I don't know about like how to take a lead or steal, how to manage the base runners, how to pitch out (if possible), etc. It all seems like basic stuff but it's really difficult just mashing different buttons to get a desired effect when all the menus are in Japanese and you have no idea what you are looking at. I'm actually impressed that I am able to play exhibition games at all.

I've never played Nechu Pro, but the the 2004 version got favorable scores from some of the Japanese gaming mags as well.. just a tad below Pro Yakyu Spirits(Nechu had like an 8-9-7-7 or something in that range). I'd like to give it a try as well, but I can't afford to pick up another &75 game at the moment, heh. I did see some game footage and it looks extremely smooth..

I'll probably be able to get you that info.. I think 2004 drops on like the 25th of this month, so give me a day or two after that occurs and I should be able to hash out(with help from friends) some basic translations. I don't think the in game options or controls should change too drastically from the 2003 version, so this won't be too much of a problem.

If you could do that I would really appreciate it. As much as I like playing the Konami baseball games, I know that I could so much more out of the already stellar gameplay if I just knew how to change some of the options or do some of the basic "in game" changes.
