im not bashing it.. im just saying that they should have never released it... ive heard that on ps2 that the hi def isnt good... ive heard that there are frame rate issues... THAT in my opinion should never happen.. look at wsb... frame rate issues... NOT...... ea was more concerned about putting more GIMICS in there game ehan making it smooth... too bad it could have been a great game... i wont buy it now that i know it has frame rate problems.. that is one thing i cant live with.. it is like having a cd or dvd that freezes or skips.. it is not acceptable.. and those of you that think it is.. are SETTLING... but too each his/her own...

Re: After playing MVP........................
I turned to ASB last year because I needed a replacement for HH... Hell, I even bought an Xbox just so I could play the game. As most of you already know I am not a thumb jockey or a graphics freak.. The better they look, adds enjoyment to the game but for me, It's all about fundamental realistic BB.. I love Manage mode, and playing the role of a GM... I am completely thrilled just to do all the roster work and then let the CPU play it all out for me.
ASB had every feature I ever wanted except one.... IT didn't play realistic.. Manage mode games and CPU vs. CPU games were horrible. There was no offense. The majority of the games were 2 to 1.. There were NO walks, very few hits, Pitch counts were terrible, unless you used generated pitch counts.. That helped a little. But I just couldn't take my entire pitching staff all under 3.00.. This was without doubt a game killer for me.
I was broken hearted... This year I decided to try MVP.. It is a really great game if you just want to play.. It's simple if you just want to bat and pitch.. some good games especially with all the sliders.
It also had all the features I am looking for.. I love the minors, it's a GM's dream. But once again the Manage mode and the CPU vs CPU games are worthless... Pitch counts are none existent. There is a horrible lack of offense.. In CPU vs. CPU games you see nothing but k's... After 10 games I was Ave. over 20+ k's per game. less than 8 to 10 hits and the scores were 3 to 1 or 2 to 0..
Need I even address Walk's... Maybe 1 per game If I was lucky..
I did go in and lower All the control ratings under each pitchers pitch and this helped considerably with the pitch counts.. But still could not get hits or avoid the K's.. I thought that if I upped the Batting contact sliders that it would help, but they seem to have no effect at all in CPU vs. CPU games...
So once again, I am left out in the cold.. My only hope now is that a global editor will help fix it. Or that ASB will have fixed the low pitch counts and lack of offense in Manage mode...
But I have asked this question a hundred times to Steve and ASBman only to be ignored or passed by.. So I really have my doubts...
I just can't for the life of me understand why none of these BB games can deal with Pitch counts, walks, and offense... High heat had this down to a science...
If all else fails, There's still a chance ESPN, MLB or MLB Slugfest will save the day. When I do something right, No one ever remembers.
When I do something wrong, No one ever forgets.!Comment

Dude, if you'd read the framerate thread, not everyone is having the framerate issues. I for one am not so I'm not SETTLING. Maybe it's because I have a 2 week old Xbox with a Samsung Drive. Maybe it's because I'm not playing on High Def. Maybe it's the Monster Svideo Cable I'm using. I don't know, but I can assure you that I'm not (as well as many others) seeing the issues with framerate that many others are seeing.
Gimics? All I'll say on that is "Mascots".
Anyhow, you can believe what you want to tell yourself to justify your purchase - even if it's not accurate. All I'll say is that you're missing out on a VERY good baseball game. That's your loss....Comment

Re: After playing MVP........................
Again, I like many people aren't seeing the framerate issue.
Your saying stuff like EA shouldn't have released, yet you don't even have the game. The rest of your rant is nothing but uninformed opinion, that you are trying to pass off as fact.Comment
