I don't want to get in the middle of an ASB vs MVP battle here, but I do want to say that I have MVP, and I like it a lot. I won't be returning it, but it's so called manager mode is... well I don't know what it is, but it wasn't what I was looking for. So my question is how is ASB's? I had the 2003 edition, and liked it, but didn't have last years. I want ASB mainly for the manager mode, and all the cool stadiums in it.

I'm looking for the ability to make the calls, and let the AI do it's thing while I watch it in the game (not a little screen like MVP). Also, I'd wouldn't mind a "one pitch mode", sort of like my old version of HH had, where the whole at bat is done without watching every pitch. If someone can give me a detailed description of the manager mode I's appreciate it.

Like I said, I'm having a blast with MVP, and I'm certainly going to keep it and play it. I also have last years WSB, and I still play that to continue my franchise with the Pirates. Each one offers different things, and I take each one on it's own merits. Besides, you can never have too many baseball games (no matter what my wife says!)

ASB offers both things you are looking for. During game Manager mode, and generated pitch counts. We just need to wait and see if there is more offense this year in CPU vs CPU games

I think there's limited discussion about ASB right now because it's like one week before the Super Bowl. The prior week we have already discussed everything that is possible. We've seen the vids, screenshots, read all the previews, diaries, ASB-Man and ASB_Art have answered the questions. There's almost nothing to talk about because the game isn't in our hands yet.

Also, is there anywhere I can find a list of all of the stadiums in the game? I searched the forums here but only found the fantasy parks. Any links to a comprehensive list? I'm a stadium junkie! (Same with real-world tracks for racing games, love 'em!)

Whenever I read 90+% of sports reviews, I think of the above quote. For whatever reason, a reputation builds around each series, and it really doesn't matter what's in the final product. Reviewers just see what they expect to see. And they play up, or minimize, faults (sometimes very similar faults... Willie Mays catches, anyone?), depending on the reputations that have built up.

The baseball subgenre has typically suffered this the most (although this year saw basketball make a real run at claiming the 'top' spot).

I'd fully expect the final compilations at GameRankings to mirror exactly this one set of scores which started the thread.
