"I am in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp, maybe because I am from the Show Me State."

I too am from the Show Me State and frankly, ASB has yet to show me they're committed to overhauling their gameplay. They can say it over and over but until it's proven, I'm not buying.

Maybe Acclaim know the game is still flawed. Maybe that's why it is retailing for $39.99. I believe 989 sports did a similar "price drop" on their games because they stunk with a capital P-U.
I'm still going to get it because, frankly. MVP is a mess and I already have ESPN Baseball. It's called World Series Baseball 2K3.

Aren't sony developed games always 39.99?
            ESPN is 39.99
            ASB is 39.99

Sounds like EA is the one shafting everyone

                  Yaknow.....each year....with Baseball games...

                  you get Screenshots.

and every year they almost always look pretty similar. Almost always, all of them show upclose shots of actions happening in the field....maybe to the Left Feilder...or something like that, climbing the wall...screens that in the actual game, could never in ANY WAY be duplicated. This year it just takes one look at an ASB video to see that they've changed all that. Those up close screens in the feild? THEY'RE THE DEFAULT CAM. I don't know about you, but I've always wanted a Baseball game that lived up to its screens, the hype, lived up to its fans. Finally this year you can SEE....those upclose shots of the outfielder? ACTUALLY DUPLICATABLE IN ACTUAL GAMEPLAY. Personally just with this I can't see any good reason whatsoever not to like this game. JUST WITH THAT it's worth it's weight in gold. complain all you want about stuff that personally I'd think people would have to be CRAZY to consider "huge problems", I'll be playing the game that I know lived up to my hopes and dreams.

I am with you all the way Stoud. Personally I thought ASB 2004 was one of the greatest games in video game baseball history. I can't wait to play it again this year

Or maybe every other publisher knows they'll have to resort to competing on price against the EA juggernaut, especially with all the good press/hype MVP's been receiving for months.
