This clown knocks the sound department but yet never discusses how good the commentary and play by play is. Compare that to MVP

Fielder Cam is only an option, yet he bases his entire review on it

Last but no least, he makes the statement about how ASB lacks the batting stances that MVP has Does he even watch baseball???? I think not, so once again, we are left with another reviewer who already had a disposition of the game without evening playing the game and understanding what he is seeing. Just like he ended the review about how hardcore fans can overlook certain aspects whereas casual fans won't,.........we should look at as this guy is a casual fan who shouldn't be doing a baseball game review cause he doesn't understand or know baseball period

You don't have to use fielder cam. HOWEVER if you do, the CPU will use it too. WHat the reviewer said was that when HE was batting this made it hard for him on the bases because the cam would somtimes focus on the wrong fielder so he had no idea where the ball was. This would really suck.

Obviously if this is true it would make fielder cam useless when you were at bat. Unless you could somehow switch between fielder cam and normal cam between innings. If not you could still use the 'classic' cam.

I don't think that review was that terrible, but it seemed too short and needed more in depth. The vibe I'm getting from these reviews this year is that ASB will kinda just be more of the same. Because fielder cam seems to be a negative there's really nothing new.

This could be a good or a bad thing depending on taste. Personally I loved last years game and I know a lot of people didn't. I will as usual read what you guys say starting tomorrow before I make my decision. I had both ASB and MVP last year and I'd like to do the same this year. I just want to see if it's worth getting this year or am I fine using last years.

IGN's reviews are suspect at best. I still remember when they did the review of Circus Maximus and gave it like a 3 or something. As it turns out he was playing it wrong, and didn't even read the manual on how to control the game.

That said, each person will have to make their own decisions on whether to get it or not. I find that even if it's a bad review I can find useful information in it that helps me make my decision. There are things I like in a game that others don't, so as long as they tell me about the features, whether they like it or not, I'm happy.

My EB left a message that my copy of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow is in, I'm going to grab it on the way home. I'm hoping that ASB may have made todays late shipment too!

The reviewers are making a big deal about the fielding cam because Acclaim is touting it as such a 'revolutionary' feature. I'm sure that if it sucks, I will just turn it off like everyone else, but the reviewers are rating it just like they rated the minor leagues in MVP and the EYEToy in MLB. Its not enough to just fix bugs and make a better game anymore, its all about adding new, significant features and how well they work.
Me personally, I could care less about the fielding cam if the gameplay holds up, but to the reviewers, it has to play great AND have alot of new great stuff year after year.
