A likely return to High Heat

Well, I've played MVP Baseball 2004 and MLB 2005 extensively, and certain aspects of both games really impressed me. However, I found that neither title can match the gameplay of High Heat, and that's what matters most to me.

I will also give this year's versions of ASB and WSB a shot, but I have a feeling I'll be going back to HH2004. I can live with HH's outdated rosters and inferior graphics and franchise mode because of the game's stellar gameplay.

Anyone else thinking about going back to HH?

Yup! I'm in the same boat.

I'm not going to drop 40-50 clams on a game with some major oversights. I looked at ASB for zone hitting (HATE cursor), but it seems like a HR fest, while MVP has the lefty power issue.....

At least HH will have Bonds name in it!

For me MVP is still fun, so I play that on the XBOX and I've got HH2001 on my PC with updated rosters. What's cool about HH, is they had the new Petco Park already in the game back then.

                Best of both worlds.

Well I've been doing that periodically between games of MVP and High Heat is the superior playing game. It does all the Baseball little things like CPU hitters striking out, Walking, Stealing bases etc. I have updated rosters too via the Action Replay. I'll probably buy WSB for Online thou.

I've tried several slider settings in MVP 2004 some seem to work but some have little effect and though I want to enjoy the game it feels like the only way to enjoy it is to ignore all the problems with it (no comp steals, rarely walk, and others) EA sports always says "if it's in the game, it's in the game" I don't think so.
I've always enjoyed High Heat it does'nt have the best graphics but I find the gameplay second to none. I find once you're playing the game you hardly notice the graphics anyways because you're too busy having fun playing the game.
I'll try the other ball games like allstar and espn but if they are'nt as good as I hope I know I can always go back to High Heat and have a game that is fun to play.
