Well, I've played MVP Baseball 2004 and MLB 2005 extensively, and certain aspects of both games really impressed me. However, I found that neither title can match the gameplay of High Heat, and that's what matters most to me.

I will also give this year's versions of ASB and WSB a shot, but I have a feeling I'll be going back to HH2004. I can live with HH's outdated rosters and inferior graphics and franchise mode because of the game's stellar gameplay.

Anyone else thinking about going back to HH?

If you can seriously find it in yourself to go back to such an old, though SOLID, game, more power to ya. I just find it very difficult to believe that you're actually that serious about HH. You're coming across as ranting about the baseball games of this year (for good reason) rather than supporting High Heat.

What is it about my message you didn't understand, man? I simply said the graphics and franchise modes of this year's baseball titles may have last year's High Heat title beat, but gameplay has brought me back to HH.

Maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension skills a bit.

I feel ya brewcity. I still have my high heat franchise saved on my memory card just in case. I'm giving MVP 2004 a good run before I make my final decision. If MVP had High Heat's gameplay as far as simulation I would be in baseball heaven. Right now I'm having the problem of too many homeruns in MVP(just with the right handers of course ) I keep adjusting the sliders hoping for a more realistic representation. I've already given up on walks and stolen bases. I don't know...maybe next year's sliders will actually do something. MYP is still fun though.I kinda have a dilema now. Should I stick with MVP or go back to my ex(high heat). I even thought about buying mlb but the no check swing kinda bothers me. At least high heat has player progression done better.

I went back to HH on the PC, there are just so many mods out there and whatnot that I find playing that game so much more fun than this year's games. That is just one man's opinion though.

I never thought HH was realistic at all. When a curveball breaks 6 feet, thats when i hit eject on my ps2. On top of that, when your players made errors they stood there looking confused for like 5 seconds. Lol. To each there own i guess.

Well to each their own, but it's few and far between finding people who don't find HH realistic. I do think curves moved a lot in the game (although it's not uncommon to see a major league curveball drop from the letters to the knees), but the gameplay was always very solid. It might have felt scripted at times, but for whatever reason it always left me wanting more. That's something ASB and WSB never did....
