My problem right now with ASB, and it may even just be my controller (I'm using one of those wireless ones) is that they seemed to have made it harder to take practice swings. In fact, it doesn't even seem like you can take a practice swing before the first pitch. Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe it is just the controller. I know I have to really hit the A button hard this year for it to register.

I think it might be your controller. I have no problem taking practive swings with my S-Controller- the thing is if you are playing on FAST you don't really get much time take a practice swing! The pitcher is ready to throw the next pitch instantly it seems.
    Thanks for the advice.

If they did not fix it or tweak it from last years version then 10 FEET IS BEING GENEROUS. Hopefully they did twaek it a bit and it isn't as bad. The distance in no where near an exageration....
I in no way nitpic at games, so save it. I also buy them all usually to make up my own mind however I expect glitches that are there YEAR AFTER YEAR to be, at the least, worked on to get better. I do not blindly follow a developer around and keep their games despite and problems. In any case if they did adjust it for the better in this years version great.

My problem so far is that ASB seems scripted. I hit a HR when the ball looked like it went into the catcher's mitt!!! I'm using zone and don't find a lot of ground balls and especially grounders to 3rd. I don't see balls hit late going to the opposite field, etc. I'll give it more time, but so far I'm puzzled because my experience has been so different than others who love the game. Maybe it'll grow on me. BTW, I used 2d curso and still noticed a lot of fly outs in proportion to groundouts and the ones that were groundouts always went up the middle. Never seen a line frive down the line.

Skyboxer, I have to ask you this: I'm guessing from your avatar that you're an MVP fan, and I was as well, before this year. I understand what you're saying about the vaccuum effect, but does that really affect gameplay as much as CPU runners who never steal? Is the vaccuum effect really any different than the spectacular Willie Mays diving catches that the OF's in MVP make on just about every ball hit into the gap? I'm certainly not saying a person should buy one game over the other, and they're wrong for liking another product, but to me, ASB's errors seem to be more graphical and less gameplay due to what I mentioned above, and MVP is the other way around.
