    Baserunning

    Help.

Advancing runners. Left trigger PLUS the base the runner is on advances that runner. Far too often I advance both the base runner who was on and the hitter who just got a hit.

At one time do you give the command for the runner who is already on base, say from going from second to home?

Also, there are two types of running you can choose from, but only one covered in the manual.

This is part of the game that is frustrating me.

yes, running is a nightmare. Anyone know how classic running is done? I love the base running in MVP, it is so easy.

I'd like an explanation also. And to add a question, if you play with the base buttons reversed for fielder cam, that only applies to fielding and not baserunning, right?

Here is how Classic baserunning is done. I had to bust out my instruction booklet from last year to get this info.

                To steal:
Press the Y button and the direction of the base you are currently on.

                General baserunning:
                D-Pad : Individual runner select

Y button : Advance runner + directional pad

B button : Return single runner + directional pad

Press right thumbstick : Stop all runners

Left trigger : Advance all runners

Right trigger : Return all runners

Hope this helps out. I always use classic baserunning.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">Thank You! I was trying to figure this out because the new system is just way to prone to mistakes. This system looks much better - it is available online (let me guess) ???

Speaking of stealing, how do you steal? Maybe I am doing it wrong but can you queue a guy up to steal and he will take off when the ball is released. It seems like I have to manually time it and press the buttons at the correct moment? Too many times I have jumped before the ball is released and the pitcher turns around and throws me out by a mile.
