    Picking off runners?

I have not even come close to getting a CPU runner out when I have my pitcher throw over. In fact it seems they are back to the back before the ball even leaves his hand sometimes. Has anybody had any luck picking off runners or do you know if it even makes a difference?

I've picked off a couple of guys in my 'spos Franchise. I just watch to see who is taking a large lead and chuck it over sometimes. It's quite cool to do. And I figure it makes up for all the times they steal on me and swipe second!

I've picked off Alfonso Soriano twice in the same game....once on first, the other at second. Other than that nope. But it was really cool to catch him napping.

So I will keep trying then. Were your pickoffs from direct pickoff moves or snap throws while you were in motion?

Mine were direct pick offs. I for the life of me cannot get the pitcher to do it mid windup, or the catcher to do snap throws!
