Mine were direct pick offs. I for the life of me cannot get the pitcher to do it mid windup, or the catcher to do snap throws!

I've picked off a couple of guys in my 'spos Franchise. I just watch to see who is taking a large lead and chuck it over sometimes. It's quite cool to do. And I figure it makes up for all the times they steal on me and swipe second!

You watch the dot on first base? or can it be changed to a MVP (whos on base) view?

I watch the dot. If I see it move twice, then I know they are usually leading off lots. It also depends on who it is, as the CPU doesn't lead off far with a slug, while Jaun Pierre usually gets out there.

Neither can be done online, FYI.

I can't do them offline either, though it's probably a combination of my limited brain power and my stubby fingers doing something wrong.

I'll probably try some tonight when I'm home playing....

To do the mid windup pick (Runner on first with a lefty, runner on third with a righty) just press the base in the middle of your windup. HOWEVER, I don't believe buttons are reversed for pickoff. So to pick to first you would press B in the middle of your delivery.
