seems as though one of the major gripes is baserunning controls. Are you guys liking mvp's baserunning scheme? I actually like it but i was thinking there has to be a way to get a one button baserunning scheme. Any thoughts?

Hmmm..., a one button scheme sounds interesting, but how would you handle, say a runner on first base and a runner on third in a sac fly situation?

each button corresponds to each base. Say you want to send the guy on third. You hit the X button (xbox) and he runs...you want him to go back...hit x again. Simple....im sure there are cases where it mught screw things up.

Why? Why is there this importance of one button controlling all runners? It never used to be this way, and there never was any problem.

Back in the 8-bit and 16-bit days, it would be something similar to {Direction Pad - Up + 'A'} to advance to second, {Direction Pad - Right + 'B'} to go back to first. ['A' always Advanced; 'B' always went Back... simple]

If you only knew baserunning from 32-bit baseball games and later, you'd think it would have been a nearly-impossible problem hitting a triple with the bases loaded and getting all the runners to advance as they should, but there were NO baserunning issues at the time.

Change, in this case, has not been good. The tried and true method of 10 to 15 years ago (and more) should be one included as one of the baserunning options.

I agree. The one button system sounds like it would be fantastic half the time and downright agravatingly bad the other half of the time. Why not stick with what works. Y+dpad/B+dpad and L/R moves all. Get the All and Single runner buttons away from each other (unlike the normal mode) and I don't see the issue.

If you want to do something that is simple why not just make the L/R triggers move all, the L analog stick adv a single base, the R analog stick return a single base and the dpad for steals? But I still like the good old classic system.

No matter what new thing you come up with, make it the NON DEFUALT option for the first year until people get used to it --- and this also allows you to see if it works first befor people are forced to use it online.

classic base running is that simple... you press the dirctional pad for the base your on.. up for 2b left for 3b etc... and press (Y) to advance.. ONE RUNNER to send that runner back.. you press B.... the only thing that the L,R are used for are controlling all runners... try it it is way better... trust me.. before learning about classic... i was running into double and triple plays like crzzy... once you try it you will never go back...
