I agree with pressing the throw button when trying to grab a ball off the ground. Whoever gave that tip has saved my a lot of extra baggers.I also found if you can't get the lock on for the fly ball to keep moving. You have a better chance of catching it on the move than standing there still in the bulls-eye without the lock on.
Sometimes pitchers will forget to slide step once in a while, even when you have a fast guy on base. Wait it out and see if he doesn't forget and gives you one pitch with the big leg throw - then run.
How about the snap throw? or pick mid-windup? I have been able to do each about twice and could never do it again. What is the secret?
You think the fact the controls are a bit on the quirky side and sparsley documented could be one of the reasons this game gets so many negative reviews? It pisses me off that this game is so close to perfect if they would just spend a year polishing the hell out of everything instead of adding new stuff.
