Re: A couple questions about this game...
If you use generated counts in this game, you can complete 9 inning games in about 20 minutes.Comment

I am thinking about getting this game or MVP Baseball. Please help me decide based on the following factors:
#1- Player progression. Will my rookie get slightly better during the season, and get better and better each year, and as you get older, they get worse?
#2 - Gameplay. How is fielding worked? With a ball hit in the gap, will the outfieler bare hand the ball and throw it right away. Is there passed balls, wild pitches? What about throwing errors? Is it better than MVP? Will, after a strikeout, my catcher throw it to third base, or sometimes even first base? Are double players RARELY broken up by the runner to second base(like in MVP, it agitates me how the 2nd base runner ALWAYS breaks up my double play, rather than the batter beating the hit out. (I played the MVP BAseball demo on the PC).
#3 - Franchise/Whatever it's called mode - Can somebody list the pros and cons of this mode? Will you be able to put players on the trading block like MVP? Sign new people for high contracts? Make three-way trades? How is the minor leagues? Is it as good as MVP baseball?
#4 - Crowd reactions - Does the crowd start cheering on a 1-2 count after a long inning? even a short inning? Are the Yankee fans louder than everyone else? (COUGH).
#5 - How are player ejections and suspensions handled?
#6 - I know I will have more questions later.
Thanks in advance.

#1 Player progression - I am only 40 games into my first season and havent noticed if my players are getting better or worse
#2 Fielding - I have seen infielders barehand the ball and throw it to first. There are passed balls and wild pitches. There are throwing errors, I have seen ones that fly past the 1b and I have seen the catcher trying to throw a guy out at second and it skips past the 2b. There are also throws that are off-line. I have seen the runner disrupt the 2b which causes him to not throw for the double play. I see it more with my "worse of the two" 2b.
#3 Franchise/Expansion - I play Expansion, Pro - you can pick the team name/mascot/city/stadium. Pro - the anncouncers say the expansion info just like they would with any MLB Team. Con - Because I am in the NL Central,, Milwaukee was bounced back to the AL and another AL team from Utah was created. The signing is there, not sure on the trade block or multi-team trades. Since minors dont generate stats, I think MVP wins this one.
#4 Crowd Reactions - Standard reactions, could be better. Havent played in Yankee Stadium.
#5 Ejections - I have seen pitchers get ejected, havent seen any suspensions yet.
Hope this helps!Comment
