1. They released the first version of Power Pros for the PS4 last year, it would be a waste of resources to make a game for PS4 then drop it after one year.

2. The last time that PYS included the WBC the game wasn't released until late July, so we have time.

3. Konami has been a HUGE sponsor of the WBC the last few years but they aren't this year but you never know.

yeah, WBC could very well be affecting the release date.
very good point and not hearing anything on PP so far makes PYS even more possible.


On a side note, Namco made NPB baseball games, i never new this.

That's not made by Namco, that's Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2004. I googled it and it shows that it's made by Konami.

I would hope some of the theories of a later release due to the WBC are somewhat true. The fact that Konami has not released any info on PYS or Power Pros is still mind boggling. I would think that with the WBC (and Japan in the final round and how well they are doing) they would use this time to market/advertise the game, or at least provide a release date/timeline.

Last time they had a WBC mode none of the info for the game was released until April. So we still have time for announcements.

Posted on Power Pros site (and on the OS PP thread) that Konami will update Power Pros with 2017 player data to their 2016 title.

There's a Q&A below the article that says they are working on a new title for next year, a physical copy, but cannot say much at this time.

Yeah but it makes a lot of sense and I really want the game so I'm trying to convince myself it is true. Really hope that if they do make a new game that it has a WBC mode!!!

The last version of PYS (2015) only had end of season updates with no 2016 player data provided. So if this is new news it would be nice to get a link to the source. Konami appears to have signed on as big supporter of the Nintendo Switch which is a good sign.

In other words, the only reason for me to keep my PS4. I'll wait for extended confirmation. Fingers crossed. Hopefully digital is available.
