Sure ,
you get to choose your lineup and pitcher ,
you call all of the pitcher's pitch ( fastabll,curveball etc ...)
you can steal, hit and run,bunt etc ...
align your defense ,
manage your bullpen
make substitution ,
and if you don't want games to take too long you can even have a count generator . ( I use the 2-0 count ..that means that every batters comes to the plate with a 2-0 count ...that gives me realstics K'swalks ratio and games are usually 20 minutes long .

With edits....(you can look through previous threads), I think this is the best manage only baseball around. I love it.
I'm still playing at least one game a day using manage only.
You do have to set some ground rules as far as the General Manager portion of the game(I make trades either one for one...two for two...or a great(or very good) current player for 2 prospects. I try not to take advantage of the CPU. It's pretty good at making trades and roster moves...but ANY game can be taken advantage of. It usually has to do with the money portion of the game.

There is ONE glitch to manager mode, and it's too bad. The AI will swing at balls that are WAAAAAAAAAAY out of the strike zone. I experimented with it and every time I pitched a ball I tweaked the stick as far outside as I could and the batter would swing at it, regardless. It's really frustrating when the count is 3-2 on your batter and he goes after a pitch that was two feet outside.

Now, if you can chalk it up to just a strike out, then fine, but I had a hard time with it. Too bad, as it was, other than that a flawless manager mode.
