For 30$ the game isn't that bad but they really need to clean up the animations and also add more player  face likenesses and also add  some more stat keeping categories. Basically keeping the at 50% sim and 50% arcade will make the better in future.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro...maybe RBI Baseball is the better bet in that case? Or should I try the emulator route?

Get Super Mega Baseball 3. There are MLB roster mods available for the PC version.

          ?
The goal of RBI Baseball as a franchise is to allow people the opportunity to pick up the controller and just have fun.
I am sick of reviewers and developers using this as an excuse for bad games. Who exactly are they referring to? People who want to pick up the controller and just have fun usually buy NES systems or load emulators. No one pays 30-70 dollars for a game with that in mind. Every child I know under the age of 10 can probably beat any of us old guys in todays games. With that being said, I think its ridiculous that after several iterations of this game, I still find playing RBI on my NES emulator more fun and challenging. The level of Nostalgia they are reaching for is why we play emulators for about 20 minutes, smile at the memory, then go on with our normal gaming lives.

They still haven't fixed the animation bugs in Android where the outfielders are floating around like ghosts half the time

what a missed opportunity......with the show coming out this year on xbox, this game doesn't stand a chance trying to be more simulation. just stick to the arcade roots, and it will be fine. make games quicker and more fun. keep the controls as simple as possible.  maybe add some of the bigs features or something, give it some pizzazz. the show has a retro mode that is just like rbi baseball, so this game has to set itself apart. the create-a-player option is a step in the right direction. maybe create-a-team and stadium would be good too.  more customization options as well. roster share and player roster movement options would be nice. maybe some powerups or something might work.
