While waiting for a scan manual, I decided to put some info to help you guys. Remember, I'm not japanese so I'm not 100% sure but I know that I'm about 85% right. You guys are very lucky because when I started out last year I had no help whatsoever and had to figure out everything by myself.

This is the stat for pitchers
Some of the pitches ie: Forkball, Knuckleball, cutter, etc are in the category of the above. For example, Some pitchers have a forkball instead of a change-up.
Under the Change-up category there is:
Forkball
Change-up
Knuckleball
Under the Curve category there is:
Curve
Slurve
Knuckle curve
It all depends on the pitcher and what pitches he have.
You can try to see the movements in training mode. Also, the more the lines a pitch have, the more movement it have. For example, if you look at the pic, the slider have three color lines next to it. That means his slider will move more. Also, the higher the grade is for a pitch, the more control the pitcher will have. As you can see, his change-up is really bad. Also, the Pitchers are rated from G-A. G=Bad
A= Good

This is the player stats
Again, I'm not sure if its fielding on the second bar. 2004 version have a different sign for it. If you look at the pic, the player don't have no power so 40 HRS is out of the question. If a player have an S for power then he is a powerful hitter. The player have an average contact grade but he have good speed. I'm guessing he's probably in the #2 spot because of his speed and good contact.

This is the Victory Points. You can unlock Points by winning games or going to the Homerun Derby.
This mode unlocks different jerseys, Different type of Balls, The hard mode called "SPIRITS" and some stadiums.
If you click R1
This is where you buy the Title picture that shows up when the game starts.

In here, you can buy a player "future stats". In other words, how the player will turn out.
-The Pennat race have two modes: Mission mode and regular. I Highly recommend only using regular since you need to know a lot of japanese to finish mission mode.
-You can Bunt by pressing R2
-To select pitches, you can also use the the D-Pad.
pressing Up= Fastball
Pressing down= change-up
pressing left= slider
pressing right= ???
But using the analog is much easier since you can use the diagonal pitches like the curveball, etc.

This is last year version but I'm using this as an example
The orange portion of the cursor is for contact. The higher the player rating is for contact the more bigger the orange portion is. The dot in the middle is the sweet spot. When you slect R1, you go into the power swing. The orange portion becomes smaller and surround the sweet spot. If you connect right, its an Homerun. But not every player that connects right will get a automatic homerun. If the player rating for power is low, the closest thing you'll get is a double at least.
