Long time, so what has been said about this game?. Is it actually NEW or more like a fixed up version of 2k5?.

Well, it's not really either. This is MLB 2K5: World Series Edition... it's not MLB 2K5.5.

It's the same game, with a world series twist to it. They also won't have the ESPN name in it... it's all 2K Sports. This should effect any commentary, replay lead-ins/cut-outs, menus... anything that used to include ESPN in it.

Besides that, the new rosters, and the World Series stuff (which I sure as hell hope they included some past stadiums that they played in), I'd expect the rest of the game to be pretty much the exact same.

I did'nt buy MLB 2K5 because of the bug reports. I'll defitnitly buy the World Series edition since its a patched up version. I'm happy.

so basically the first thing we will have to do is what, raise cpu errors to 50? my god why would 2k bother releasing probably the most inept attempt at a baseball game that i have ever played as simply world series 2k5, you gotta wonder about the people running that outfit if this is what they plan on doing, i would have at least thought they would make an attempt to release the game w/o all the gameplay and franchise bugs, i'll pass on this game unless they have.

Is it really a patched up version, or just the same version with updated rosters and a World Series DVD attached? Also, when is the release date?

Release date is the 17th. I keep checking and I don't see any hands on previews, nothing.

Seeing as to how these boys get more and more serious about their games every season, I'd suspect that they'd fixed up that game even before they were shipping it out. Plus those little additions. Plus, I saw on their site that they had the price lower than expected. Looks like it's $20. Maybe I'm rushing, but yeah....them boys did magic with the basketball game. I'm pretty sure they'll do something similar. Gotta also remember the amount of power they had behind them. They had Sega but probably weren't given as much to work with. Now that they have Rockstar, I'm sure it's a whole different ballgame....

Sure hope you're right. It wouldn't make ANY sense to release the game with some of the obvious bugs in it, i.e, 3rd baseman not charging balls hit at him, the passed ball bug, etc.

I'm chompin' at the bit to get a season going.
