I have several problems with the game maybe someone can assist me. I played career mode won the ws but the title and awards were deleting after starting the next season. Did I save it wrong any help would be great. Also in the world series moments if I quite the game any progress made is deleted. Also all the cheats/extras etc that I buy only lasts while the game is on. If i turn off the xbox and turn it on all the things purchased previously go away. If anyone cna help me with these problems i would be grateful

Okay yes I started playing this game again recently because the new versions were annoying. But just because there is a time lapse, i still think someone could assist me in some way. i wish people would stop commenting on the timing of the comment and rather help if possible with the issue that I am describing.

I'm not insulting you. Like Knight said below this post the last post in this thread was in 2005. We usually don't allow thread bumps like that. I honestly thought you might be a spammer.

Since you seem to have a genuine issue I'll let it go for now. But I can't help you and not sure if anyone else here will be able to anyway. I'm sure most people haven't played this game since 2004-2005.

Like I mentioned before I started playing the game and had issues so I looked around the web for answers. I found none so I assumed asking on forums might help me.
Maybe someone experience these problems and remembers what to do.

I'll be straight with you all... ESPN MLB 2K5 was my favorite 2K baseball game, so I can see where he's coming from. Actually, 2K8 would have been my favorite if it wasn't so hideous (especially on the PS3). 2K6 was great too with the analog controls and fielding momentum, but 2K5 was an awesome flashy turnaround from the already solid 2K3 and 2K4. I can't blame him for going back to this game.

Anyway, unfortunately I sold my regular Xbox and no longer have this game. I never had the WS Edition anyway. I do remember making a custom cover for it once though. I have to find that again.

Though I don't remember a Career Mode (just GM Mode), never used cheats, and I don't seem to recall awards and accolades "carrying over" from season to season anyway. Or did they appear in the Skybox or something?

I wish I could help, but it seems you're a bit stuck with these problems since the game is older and not too many people can support you anymore.

Yes they are suppose to appear in the skybox but they do not. Also none of the things that I unlock are saved. I meant general manager mode.

Is there any chance that using cheats disables your ability to unlock things in Skybox? I know that in ESPN NFL 2K5 if you switched teams or something you couldn't like get VIP points. I can't remember exactly. Maybe it has to do with that?

Are you saying that if i start one gm career and then start another one then I loose all progess from the first and will not gain anyting with the new one. Do you think deleting older saved gm careers/ profiles would help

I only asked a question. I'm not actually sure.

I was just speculating that yes... if like you just got the game and never input a cheat, then maybe your profile actually displays a WS trophy if you got one.

I really don't know, though. Never heard of that glitch. Of course, I was in my fourth year of my franchise with my Reds and I don't think I had won a WS at that point either.
