The screen shots are fine but don't look realistic, the anatomy of the player is cartoony and feet are tiny.?
    Not too impressed so far.

Why did you post the same thing twice? And how in the world can you see how big the feet are?

That would be something, maybe he'll come out to the mound if you keep shrugging him off. Im liking the whole "certain catchers will call a game better than others" feature (heres keeping my fingers crossed that it will be properly implemented). It will finally bring some worth in the fantasy drafts to the Mike Matheny's and Brad Ausmus' of the world, especially if there is a major difference between the catchers calls of like say Matheny and my boy Posada (who may actually call the worst possible games in history) and this should reflect on a teams ERA.

I didn't see any updated player models or realistic bats and gloves. This has bothered me since the beginning of the series. The bats look like whiffle ball bats with extra long thin barrels and the gloves look likes someone who's never seen one did the modeling. I hope the new animations include a new swing animation and new throwing and diving ones, but I really want the players to be more responsive and not have to deal with them being so slow. FIX YOUR ANIMATIONS AND MODELS 2K...for the love of god!!!

I'm not going to say too much... I get way too analytic and interpretative, and I want to keep it short.

So, in short, a lot of things that they're doing sound very appealing to me. Of course, I want to better understand what they mean by "movement" system. Of all of the 2K5 games, MLB 2K5 was the only one that had zero use of momentum. Hockey, basically, NEEDS momentum, so let's leave whomever has been working on that game in the past alone for this subject. But, VC started its momentum work with ESPN NFL 2K5, and then did it with NBA 2K5. Now that part of VC is working on this game, I'm going to hope that they're going to try and implement a momentum system for this game too. It would make sense.

I wonder what the Swing Stick is about, too.

Its probably gonna take some time to get used to, that much I think we all can agree upon LOL. Im thinking that maybe you have to use the left analog stick to pick a pitch zone and the right analog for swing timing. The shot stick is great in NBA 2K6, Im hoping that it will be a tremendous innovation here in baseball but it definitely will be more complicated especially cause you swing on different planes at different speeds for different pitches.

                  Re: Mlb 2k6 interview!

My biggest gripe last year was the fielders speed... They could get to too many balls way to quickly, and as mentioned the dives didn't help this matter.

I would also hope for the simple option to be able to play an online ranked game without slam-zone.

I don't me to de-rail the topic but I remember the first time I played without slam-zone (after playing tons of slam-zone games) and I was like wow, this is great, this feels like baseball... I just want to take that feeling online...

Other than that, I too am excited about most of the noted implementations.

The swing stick sounds like what ASB had in the 04 version.

You pull the analog stick back and push it foward to hit. It sounds great on paper but it's not that effective.

Looks like stick batting will now be en vogue for the next few years. I personally like the idea behind it, but it remains to see how effective/fun it will be. I am sure it all depends on how well it is implemented. If it is really responsive and doesn't remove any control from the player, then I think it could be a welcome change.

Asian, I believe in this game you just have to pull back on the stick and release it to swing. EA's NCAA game is the one you will have to throw the stick forward to complete the swing.

That's correct. I actually like the idea of having to push forward, but right now, I'm just going to trust them, because their shot stick is wonderful.
