Of course I only played around in the dashboard last night, but that's OK. I'll pick up Call of Duty 2 since that looks good. Other than that, there isn't much on the 360 that I want to play until this game comes out.

Re: are these new screens??
So now my new 360’s running and I’m staring at a blank TV screen, waiting for MLB 2K6 to drop.
Geez, blasphemy not putting it to use. I understand they rot if you don't use them immediately. Tell you what, I'll give you a hundred bucks for it just cause I'm a nice guy.Comment

Well, Tiger Woods on the Xbox 360 is a complete joke. Next-gen my butt. Links golf on the current-gen Xbox two years ago beats this game in the graphics and game play departments, hands down. Not ever a close call.
So is this what we should expect with next-gen games that are ported over as MLB 2K6 appears to be? The same game with maybe moderately clearer graphics, if that? Because if so, playing MLB 2K6 on the Xbox 360 is going to look and feel the same as playing it on the current-gen console. And I’m not wasting my money, assuming the 360 game will probably cost $30-$40 more. Guess that’s why they’re hinting at extra features on the 360 – to justify the higher price. Anyway, I packed the 360 back in the box last night and decided we’re giving it to my sweetie’s grandkids for Christmas.
Next-gen. Bah. Humbug.Comment

I'm glad I didn't get one to tell you the truth. I was caught up in the hype and decided to just wait. First, there aren't any games that get my interest except Call of Duty 2 and I have that on the PC and it looks about the same.
Tell you the truth, haven't heard a lot good about the XBOX 360 yet.Comment

Even people with NHL 2K6 on the 360 say that it's much better and well worth it to have it. I mean... for a baseball game, it's not just updated graphics. They can have a whole real life environment in the baseball stadium that we can connect to... like the fans. All 3D. With that, we could have 60 FPS, no jaggies, etc. I don't think you would be disappointed... but I think the cost may be too high.
I'm not all that excited for the Xbox 360, which is why I'm not getting one. I may not get a next-gen console until 2007. I might not GET a next-gen console! I still love my Xbox and PS2, and I'm sticking with them.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Gameplay out of the box is VERY easy. However, disabling a lot of aids and the game becomes more difficult (ie: disabling swing aid, power boost, post shot spin controls etc...). Pretty much disabling all the non-sim stuff. With that said, I hope TW, who I believe has a new developer for graphics this year, offers a lot more next year. My biggest dissapointment is that the game only offers 6 courses right now.
Now that we're comletely off topic....Comment
