I noticed in nearly every video and screenshot, I haven't seen many updates to stadiums. As a matter of fact, aside from different advertisements on the given adspaces, I haven't seen any significant improvement to the stadium's authenticity... even though you are advertising your own company.
Now, aside from overall improving stadium field and crowd lighting (which I have noticed) and weather variables, what other improvements HAVE you made to any other stadiums? Because I still notice that Fenway Park still doesn't have its center field seats open to fans (or it doesn't have its renovations in foul territory)... Petco Park is still missing its proper skyline backdrop, a very dark blue wall (with a RCF wall that's curved more inward now), and the seats on the Western Metal Supply Co. building... Safeco Field is still closed for the rainy season... Turner Field does not appear to have its monster jumbo-tron in center field... AT&T Park (which I doubt you guys renamed in your game) still does not have an illuminated Coca Cola bottle for night games or right field seats in the arcade (which there are 3 rows and about a 25-foot wide walkway behind, by the way)... Rogers Centre still doesn't even have the proper turf in... Comerica Park, Great American Ballpark, and Ewing M. Kaufmann Stadium still seem to be missing any of all upgrades to the wall sizes and distances (with Comerica still having that non-ivy backdrop)... Wrigley Field does not seem to have the extra seating in the outfield and the new restaraunt in center field replacing that grass... no stadium still has any collision detection for home runs as far as I can see... and to top it all off... umm, hi... the Cardinals sort of have a new stadium?
So, the question is... what have you done to improve stadiums EVEN IF ANY?

Way to go Blzer. It's about time they were really questioned on some of this stuff. The fact that the stadiums never seem to be updated & the batting animations haven't been improved much, are the 2 main reasons I don't like the 2K series. They really need to get on the ball & start making their game more authentic.
Which leads me to my one question.
Do the top players have their signature walk ups, batting rituals & Hr celebrations?Comment

Originally posted by Steve_OSNow that more info, screenshots and movie clips have been shown, I've managed to get us another interview w/ the MLB 2K6 team. Submit your questions here.
Please be specific or you run the risk of your question not being answered. I can't take any 360 questions yet, but when I can, we'll setup another interview.

Re: Interview #2 Questions...
I was wondering if the PS2 version of MLB 2K6 will be linked to the PSP version of MLB 2K6. In other words will you be able to spawn your franchise mode games from the PSP version to PS2 version like Madden did. That is an awsome feature because you could play your PS2 franchise on the road. Please tell me this feature will be present.Comment

Re: Interview #2 Questions...
In the last interview when asked about pitchcounts, you said: "I think your concerns will be addressed by our new partnership with Inside Edge. Inside Edge is a real scouting service that provides scouting data to many major league ballclubs. Because of our partnership with Inside Edge, we now have access to the same real life data that MLB teams have access to. By incorporating IE, we’ve made the pitcher/batter battles much more interesting because each player you face will have their unique tendency and their very own strengths and weaknesses. We’re feeding all of this data into our AI, so our players will behave like their real life counterpart in game."
You tiptoed around this question last time, and it is the most important part of a baseball video game, IMO.
Will there be realistic pitch counts for BOTH the user and cpu? Will Pedro ever reach 100 pitches in the 7th inning? Will there be a lot of 3-2 counts, or 10 pitch at bats where the batter fouls off five straight pitches? The pitcher-batter showdown is baseball at its core, and until the MLB 2K series gets this right, the game will suffer. NOTE: Most of the above answers need simple "yes" or "no" answers. They do not need to be tiptoed around.Last edited by rsnomar05; 02-21-2006, 02:06 AM.Comment
