Why cant 2k do this?

2k cannot release one good quality screen shot. They just released 35 mlb 2k6 360 screens correct ? ( 25 pics of starters..10 of closers)

They would look great...if the quality was good. And this isnt new for 2k, ever since espn nfl 2k4 the screens they put out do not show how good their game looks.

Now if you look at the screens..and compare them to the Derek jeter ones in Game informer..you can tell they are going to look like the Jeter ones..Which is AWESOME news.

But im upset, what im some regular Joe looks at this game and is a graphics whore...they wont buy it. Because 2k doesnt take time to make there screens like they really look like.



All these screens would be jaw dropping if the quality was good...2k really needs to represent themselves better..and try with these screens.

Well atleast we got 35 pics..and I know its going to look amazing..not sure what you guys think. But 2k's screens never look like the final product.

Just wanted to get that out there.

No 360 screens have been release by 2k yet. The screens you are refering to are either xbox or ps2 shots

Kev, all of those shots are from the Xbox version of this game. Not to worry.

And, IGN doesn't also have the perfect video card to capture exactly what it looks like. The MLB 2K series contains jaggies (no AA since ESPN MLB), but in one frame it captures all of them strangely enough. In motion, the jaggies are less apparent, but then the framerate starts to take a hit in terms of visuals. I sure with they could feature anti-aliasing and 60 FPS, but I don't think either are possible because of the Triple Pass Rendering they use to model their players.

Odd...to me these seem like 360 graphics just with really bad quality.

If these are xbox screens..with bad quality we are in for a treat with the 360 title.

Those are Xbox screens.

The game has always looked good IMO. It's just that it falls short in the gameplay category and animations.

I'm not sure why anyone would be upset with what 2K releases. None of us work for 2K and there's very little we can do about it.

Exactly. I think PS3 is truly the next generation, although I'm sure the 360 is capable of alot more than what we've seen so far.

So we know how "next gen" the 360 is by someone mistaking a baseball game on xbox for what they think the 360 might look like. What the heck is "next gen" anyways. Im so sick of hearing that stupid term. The potential for games on the 360 has not even been touched. Its not the 360's fault that developers are putting out crap. The games will get much better, it will just take some time.

I don't find anything wrong with that photo. It's the animations that make it. If these graphics had the smoothness of MLBThe Show ,or MVP I don't think anyone would complain very much.

Haha, that's definetely a nice looking screen, especially for Xbox, but i don't know how well that bodes for the Jeter 360 screen you saw in GameInformer if you think these look just as good...

I don't know... I think a lot of stuff is flying around with the next gen systems. I think that ps3 will be what the xbox was this gen in terms of how much more powerful it will be... But more importantly I think it will just come down to games and what people prefer... Also some people might have a high end pc which would probably shift them towards a ps3. But it's just about the games imo...
