Bigfnjoe96, yeah, the more the merrier. Everyone has high hopes for the 360 game, but I think as it's the first time on the 360 it might need some major tweaking, but could be wrong.

Question about the XBOX. I have a high def tv. Do I need a particular cable to get it to play hi def?

Did you buy the Premium or Core package?

If you bought the Premium, with the component cables there is a switch on the head of the cable that plugs into the 360. Make sure that switch is turned to HDTV.

what methods/formulas did y'all use last year?


i did some myself & used some of GFORCE22 (he did his for mvp 04)

With last year’s game, my list of edits included every player’s (pitchers and batters) fielding AND batting ratings. I’m sure most people thought the hitting in the game was fine, but I felt there were too many fly balls, and too many LONG fly balls. So I edited their batting ratings for the purpose of increasing ground ball frequency, as well as to cut down on all the long fly balls, and have more bloop and medium-OF hits.

The fielding ratings I think everyone agreed were way over the top and required editing. I can give you a rundown on all of it at some point. The cool thing about the fielding edits is that after players’ ratings were edited, the CPU would sub defensive specialists into the game when it had a lead. It didn’t do that with the default ratings because all the players were rated too high to start with, so there was no need.

And it could well be 2K6 won’t need much if any editing. Hopefully that’s the case.

With the games being $60, we become even more cautious with spending. What 2 games did you return? I've been also either renting or doing more research on the 360 game that I'm thinking of buying before spending the $60.

FIFA Road to the World Cup: I can see where they're going with the game, but it's a shell what it could be next year. Plus I just read EA's releasing a World Cup Soccer game on the 360 in April, so that's the one to check out.

Quake 4: Fab game in many ways, but the AI is flawed. Enter a room, set the enemies off, back out and then pick them off one by one -- they won't come after you. I'll pick this game up when it's dropped in price.

I spent $20 renting them, so do that a few times, rather than rushing out and buying and getting stuck with a dud game, and after a few months you've saved a few hundred bucks. I'll definitely be renting before buying 360 games -- except for 2K6, no doubt

hey jim, if you got the premium xbox360 pak it comes with component hookups for hd, if the core then yeah you'll need to buy the extra cables.

I got the "cheapie", $299. Didn't know it didn't save to the harddrive like the XBOX, so I have to go out and buy a save card now too.
